In Wake of Attacks, Gov. Fallin Authorizes Adjutant General to Arm Full-Time Military Personnel.
OKLAHOMA CITY –-(Ammoland.com)- Governor Mary Fallin today authorized Oklahoma’s adjutant general, Maj. Gen. Robbie L. Asher, to arm full-time personnel at installations like the military facilities that were attacked Thursday in Chattanooga, Tenn.
“Four unarmed Marines were killed in what appears to be a domestic terrorist attack,” said Fallin.
“It is painful enough when we lose members of our armed forces when they are sent in harm’s way, but it is unfathomable that they should be vulnerable for attack in our own communities. For that reason, I want to make sure that our National Guardsmen are authorized to arm themselves at our military facilities.”
Fallin issued an executive order allowing Asher to arm certain full-time personnel in military installations throughout Oklahoma with weaponry as he deems necessary “to adequately provide for security of the facilities and their occupants.”
Such installations shall include, but not be limited to, military recruiting offices.
In another executive order, the governor instructed that all American and Oklahoma flags on state property be flown at half-staff through 8 a.m. Monday in honor of the four Marines killed.
“This attack is a horrible tragedy for our country and especially those in the state of Tennessee,” Fallin said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who were killed.”
Why is it ALWAYS that someone has to die before these ivory tower politicians do something that common sense would have dictated long ago?

We have a president took oath to defend and support. our constitition. Well he has not stood up to the oath nor anything else. He basically tearing it apart. All his lies he has made to the people. He SHOULD BE IMPEACHED for what he done. ANY who loves our lord JESUS CHRIST should agree with getting rid of this person. Bravo Governor Fallin! Now THAT’S how an executive order SHOULD be used, Mr. President, not to line more pockets overseas or tear another brick from our constitutional wall. I hate to see it come but a day is on the horizon which will show, to all who wish to turn this great country into a dictatorship, what happens when the common man has enough of the political games and rises up to speak on his own behalf. You know if we all respectfully wrote the governors of our respective states to follow Governor Fallin and asked them to arm each on-duty National Guardsmen and Guardswomen……. We would have a force multiplier assisting the local police. Radical Muslims start killing American citizens, they will never know where the shot that takes them out comes from. We are at war with radical Islamists, not peaceful Muslims. No soldier will discharge a weapon recklessly and without rules of engagement for fear of the UCMJ and court marshall.
