Saint Ignatius, MT -(AmmoLand.com)- The Skinner HTF Garment Bag – a new way to securely hide firearms in plain sight for immediate use.

A unique way to economically and discreetly hide firearms from burglars is now just a closet away. Skinner Sights, well known for its phenomenal line of firearm sights and accessories, has invented a unique solution for low-cost firearm storage.

The patented, all-American-made and all-American-material sourced Skinner HFT Garment Bag is a secure hiding place for firearms and accessories that is nearly invisible to a thief but accessible in seconds by its owner.

Home break-ins are typically snatch-and-grab operations that last just a few minutes. The Skinner garment bag keeps firearms safe and secure in plain sight. Ask yourself: Who steals clothes from a closet?

Opening the Skinner garment bag reveals fast access for one long gun up to 42 inches in length. There are quick access pockets for various accessory items such as knives, flashlights, valuable papers, extra ammunition or smaller handguns. The bag also has two attached handgun holsters which can be removed for temporary use and each has a magazine pouch on the holster. Special interior pockets are designed to hold at least 6-pistol magazines and four 20-30-round rifle magazines.

The HFT Garment Bag is constructed of 1000-denier heavy-duty Cordura nylon and finished with heavy-duty zippers attached with heavy-duty thread and nylon webbing. The hanger is rated to at least 200 pounds and, like a “real” garment bag, it folds in half and has wrap-around handles for easy emergency evacuation if necessary. And for further camouflage one could hang a couple of shirts inside the bag.

“Sure, an 800-pound safe is best,” says Skinner Sights owner Andy Larsson, “but will the floor support it in a covert location and allow quick access if necessary? The owner’s real needs and, of course, budget are all important things to consider.”

About Skinner Sights:

Skinner Sights are handcrafted in my small shop in St. Ignatius, Montana. Machined from solid steel, stainless steel or brass bar stock, the parts are hand fitted to close tolerances. We have worked hard to design sights which are not only extremely functional and rugged, but to also complement the firearm. I make a limited number of high quality sights at a reasonable cost to the customer. Skinner SightsTM are inexpensive, but not cheap and my customer service is second to none. Through field testing I continue to improve the designs for function, durability and appearance. Our sights are guaranteed with a 30 day, money back, policy. Your satisfaction is very important to me. If at any time your sight needs to be repaired, I do so at no charge.

Good idea. But at $249, I’m gonna pass.

Definitely going to have to pick one of these up. Always diversify. Do not put all your assets in one place. Spread things out so that one discovery does not compromise everything you have.

Your garment bah is a great idea.
