Saint Paul, MN -(AmmoLand.com)- In this week’s episode, we cover the kickoff of the 2016 legislative session. It’s a short, ten-week session, but one that has already been filled with attempts to implement universal background checks, gut the permit system, and ban lead ammunition.
We also spend some time talking about the long game that groups like Everytown are playing right now in the state – and how they hope to achieve long-term victory, greatly diminishing your Second Amendment rights. We’ll talk a bit about how and why we need to dramatically adjust our game plan here in Minnesota to address the rising threats from out of state interests.

Minnesotans need to know that universal background checks cut both ways. The down side for lefties indulging this fetish is that such a law will cause most to keep the used firearm and buy a new one anyway. That forces the used gun buyer, usually a relative or close friend, also to buy a new one. Such a law not only will increase the numbers held in private collections, it will greatly reduce used firearms availability and increase the need for manufacturing new ones.
