FORT SMITH, Ark. -(Ammoland.com)- Umarex USA, a company on the forefront of innovation in outdoor products, announces the introduction of the most lethal air gun hunting ammunition ever created.

The Umarex Havox is designed to expand upon contact of soft tissue immediately transferring massive energy into the intended target.

The Havox line of smallbore air gun hunting ammunition is designed to expand 100 percent into six razor sharp cutting edges, creating a massive wound channel in the target.

The wide razor sharp blades stay attached and maintain a large diameter to provide the greatest cutting surface throughout penetration.

The Havox is fast, accurate, and certainly lethal. These Umarex pellets are machined of pure solid copper and specially drawn and tempered to deliver total energy accurately on target with a natural copper finish.

Unequaled in terminal expansion and maximum energy dump into the target, the .177 Havox completely expands and travels over three-inches in synthetic gelatin. The .22 and .25 travel 15 percent further consecutively.

The Havox maintains accuracy standards at typical small bore air gun-hunting distances of 20 to 30 yards and is usable in most air rifles chambered for the pellet’s caliber designation.

Up to 10 percent lighter than lead, the lead free Umarex Havox accurately outperforms most lightweight alloy pellets offered for hunting. The .177 weighs 7 grains, the .22 is at 10.9 and the 25 caliber measures 19.9 grains. 25 pellets will come in each package and will range in cost from $13.99 to $15.99 MSRP.

I haven’t used a pellet gun since the 70’s, but I do know there are a number of air rifles in production using higher caliber ammo that are a major threat to most things on four legs. Wouldn’t Umarex be smarter to engage users of these heavier calibers? Heck, peeps who invest in these air rifles that cost as much as a carbine might be a fair market for this ammo. I know there’s one heavy-caliber air gun that’s so lethal that it’s illegal to purchase in CA, but can be purchased elsewhere. I would think that users of these… Read more »

Wow , what a rip ! Imagine one might not practice much with those pellets . I would get other less expensive pellets about the same weight to try out , but remember copper pellets fly faster with less drag . This idea is a bit over the top when you consider a squirrel getting hit by a pellet is about like a human taking a hit from a Marine Corps 106 mm.recoilless rifle , he won’t adjust well. So save your money and get kodiac heavy or H& N copper or just lead domed. Diablo pellets are good too… Read more »

At what FPS do they start to work? Good idea, bout time for a working HP for air guns.

Very few except the die hard air gun hunters will buy these pellets at that price, like Whodaty said no one will buy these to kill squirrels or pigeons, not at $13 to $15 for 25 pellets. Nice though, I’d buy a box of 500 if they were at the price of hollow points.

Well now! @ .56¢ per round for a .177…… If they hope to sell many it will likely be in countries where firearms are illegal.
