News and Events for Michigan Gun Owners
Michigan –-(AmmoLand.com)- The MGO/FNRA Banquet is coming up fast! It is scheduled for THIS FRIDAY in Dearborn Hts., MI. Here is an update from Rick Buckner, MGO President:
Times are really rough right now. MGO and the FRNA could use your support. These banquets help support the women on target events held in Michigan, The fund youth shooting events and various clubs as well as MGO get grants to fund programs like safe storage and that helps improve the image for gun owners over all. Please take some time and some funds to break bread with fellow firearms owners and protectors of the 2nd amendment cause. The NRA has generously gave us a package worth over 10 grand to give away. I will say there are some really choice guns and other items up for grabs. Right now your odds are great since we have sold very few tickets. If you live in S.E Michigan this ones for you.

Coming up THIS WEEKEND
The Second Annual MGO Memorial Shoot: Here is a message from Joeywhat, MGO EC Member and Activities Committee Member:
“2nd Annual MGO Memorial Shoot – Oct. 10th October 10th marks the second annual Michigan Gun Owners Memorial shoot, held at Howell Gun Club. The memorial shoot was first held to remember long time MGO member and 2A supporter John (WhoIsJohnGalt) Johnson. Since then MGO has decided to make this an annual event to honor and remember fallen MGO members.
A local police chaplain will give an opening prayer at the beginning of the event.
Bring out your favorite firearm (or more) with ammo and have fun with fellow members enjoying the same. Last year we all brought plenty of ammo so that we could try each others firearms and just had an all around ‘BLAST’ (pun intended). All while remembering and celebrating the lives of others that have meant so much to MGO.
There is no competing, no prizes, no sales, no tickets and no firearms restrictions (except full auto). There will be safety officers on hand to make sure it is a safe event and that all can have fun. We will all be shooting from the same distance, so bringing a 1000 yard precision rifle as your only ‘fun gun’ you might get frustrated shooting at 10-15 yards, plan on closer distance fun!
What better way to honor the memory of other like minded people than by expending large amounts of gun powder!
Howell Gun Club is located at: 3210 Jewell Rd, Howell, MI
The shoot will be from 12pm-3pm, and an informal dinner will be held at a local eatery (yet to be decided). Come on out and have a good time, shoot some guns, and honor our fellow MGO members who have passed on.”
Please consider participating in some of these upcoming events. MGO is more than an Internet Forum! We look forward to YOUR participation and fellowship!
