Bellevue, WA -(Ammoland.com)- Representative Patrick McHenry (R-NC) has introduced the Ammunition and Firearms Protection Act.

This Act will protect our Second Amendment Rights from being destroyed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). Following massive public scrutiny because of Obama’s plan to use executive action to ban .556 M855 ammo used by sportsmen and hunters in their AR-15s, the anti-gun liberals temporarily shelved the proposal.

They would likely re-introduce the ammo ban as soon as America is distracted by something else. McHenry’s new legislation will protect us from any of those attempts. (BATFE) was using the argument that the .556 is “armor piercing” and we must get them off the streets to save citizens and police officers.

We have never seen such a bold an unlawful President that will push their personal agenda at any cost. He will probably try to get rid of Congress next!

WE MUST DEMAND every member of the House of Reps pass the Ammunition and Firearms Protection Act! Protect our rights from Obama and The BATFE

BATFE’s proposal would prohibit the manufacturing, importation, and sale of M855 ball ammunition which happens to be one of the most popular rounds used in the AR-15.

Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote a letter to the BATFE demanding an explanation for the bullet ban:

“This round is amongst the most commonly used in the most popular rifle design in America, the AR-15. Millions upon millions of M855 rounds have been sold and used in the U.S., yet ATF has not even alleged – much less offered evidence – that even one such round has ever been fired from a handgun at a police officer.”

Citizens and policemen alike are not buying the claim that this ban is to protect police officers:

Brent Ball, 17 year veteran police officer and current gun shop owner, said, “Criminals aren’t going to go out and buy a $1,000 AR pistol. As a police officer I’m not worried about AR pistols because you can see them. It’s the small gun in a guy’s hand you can’t see that kills you.”

The argument the BATFE is shoving in our face to justify the bullet ban continues to be “armor piercing” and “pistol-style AR-15s”. The next easy ammo to ban would be the .308 which are also commonly used in AR-15s. Then what about pistol-style rifles like a Thompson Center that shoots .223, 30-30, 45-70 Govt. etc.

The point is it does not matter what the starting point is for Obama; If we do not stop this right now they will find a reason to ban the next caliber, next caliber, next caliber, and the last caliber until we are only left with pellet guns.

We have the power to stop them with the Ammunition and Firearms Protection Act. We must demand every Representative votes to protect our Second Amendment Rights.

We knew Obama was going to attack our rights before he left office, we just did not know it would be this bad.

Sincerely Yours,

Alan M. Gottlieb

the 2nd amendment is the protection act…as more and more laws are passed to enslave our people, the army to worry about… is the cops!

One might expect the New York Times to refer to M855 as “.556”, but not AmmoLand. M855 is 5.56 (mm) or .223 (inch).

Is no one editing this stuff anymore?

Smooth is Fast

Shotgun Pattern. Hit the Anti’s with multiple bills and tie them to other legislation. Oppose Loretta Lynch on principal as well.
Support HB 1329 , HB 1130 , HB 1365, and HB 2247.

the best way to end all of this destruction of our rights is IMPEACHMENT

If this Bill did any less it would do nothing. What is needed is a bill to remove the regulatory authority of ATF.

This Bill is going ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE. Neither the House or the Senate have enough Votes, too override the President’s Veto…

Walt

So your plan is to do nothing?
