NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- Former NSSF President and CEO Doug Painter has been named editor-in-chief of Fair Chase, the quarterly, official publication of the Boone and Crockett Club.
Painter, who retired from NSSF in 2011, will oversee the content and design of Fair Chase, which delivers hunting and conservation news and features to club members and associates.
“Respect. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I think of Doug and his career. Â We’re thrilled to add his caliber of esteemed experience, insight and skill to the masthead of Boone and Crockett’s publication,” said Club President Morrie Stevens.
Painter is involved in many communications projects, is an editorial advisor to Sporting Classics magazine, and is on the boards of the Wildlife Management Institute and Youth Shooting Sports Association.
