Berryville, Arkansas –-(Ammoland.com)- Wilson Combat shooting team member, BJ Norris, once again came out on top at the 2018 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championship that was held at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama.
The weather went through periods of high humidity combined with unbearable heat to moments of torrential downpours, all of which made for challenging conditions when competitors are trying to draw the gun quickly. But, the weather didn’t stop BJ from having an incredible performance.
Shooting his Wilson Combat Tactical Carry, BJ earned first place in both the Limited and Single Stack divisions. For Production, BJ used a Beretta/Wilson Combat Brigadier Tactical which helped him score another first place finish.
“With only about a half a second separating first and second place, you can’t think about anything except executing the stage. My Wilson Combat pistols give me the confidence I need to set-up at the line with only one thing in mind: winning.” -BJ Norris
Norris had his personal best time in the Open division which put him at second place along with finishing second place in the .22 Optic divisions.
“This year’s match was a hard-fought battle. KC and I are both past champions, and we were trading time back and forth all day long, sometimes seconds at a time. In the end, I shot a personal best for the course, but it wasn’t enough to capture the overall title this year.” -BJ Norris
For the second year in a row, BJ won the title of Steel Master, which is the combined total of your best .22 pistol score, iron sighted centerfire score, and optic sighted centerfire score.
