Trump’s School Safety Commission Begs States for Red Flag Laws ~ VIDEO

Reporting by Jared J. Yanis

USA –  -(AmmoLand.com)- Hello everybody and welcome to Guns & Gadgets, YOUR YouTube source for 2nd Amendment news. With over 20 years of experience in the law enforcement field, I have learned the numerous channels used by those who would love to see our 2nd Amendment rights stripped. Because of this, I am often able to bring you the news on new bills submitted at the local, state and federal levels that look to carry out those attacks. If you are new to the channel or want to stay up to date with the constant infringements on our Constitutional Right to Bear Arms, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/GunsGadgets

Recently, President Donald J. Trump, under immense pressure from the vocal anti-gun community, following the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, charged the Department of Justice, and subsequently the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to work towards an outright ban of bump stock type devices. The claim is such devices allow a shooter of a semi-automatic firearm to initiate a continuous firing cycle with a single pull of the trigger, thus creating a workaround of the National Firearms Act.

This cause picked up more steam as Chris Cox, the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action’s Executive Director, published a joint statement with Wayne Lapierre, the NRA’s Executive Vice President, that many believe gave the anti-gun community the confidence to continue the push for the ban. This joint statement can be viewed here: https://home.nra.org/joint-statement

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker announced that the Department of Justice had amended the regulations of the ATF, clarifying that bump stocks now fall within the definition of “machine gun” under federal law.

Immediately, Erich Pratt, the Executive Director of Gun Owners of America, announced GOA would file a lawsuit against the ATF and the Department of Justice to seek an injunction protecting gun owners from the arbitrary ban. This announcement can be viewed here: www.gunowners.org/gun-owners-of-america-to-file-suit-against-atf-bump-stock-ban.htm

Upon learning of Gun Owners of America’s plan to stand up to the federal government and file this lawsuit, I reached out to GOA and secured a one-on-one, live interview with Erich Pratt to be held on Guns & Gadgets this Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019, at 6:00 PM, EST.

We will be discussing the bump stock ban lawsuit as well as Republican-sponsored gun control such as the National Extreme Risk Protection Order and Violence Prevention Act submitted by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). This bill is a National Red Flag Bill that is genuinely a gun confiscation bill. It not only circumvents Due-Process and violates our 4th Amendment right against unreasonable searches and seizures, 2nd Amendment right to bear arms, as well as our right to confront our accuser, among others, but looks to reward states that enact Red Flag Laws with grants and other funding. President Trump’s own Federal Commission on School Safety released a report recommending states pass Red Flag Laws. They even laid the template out towards fruition. Also, do not forget the President’s quote, “Take the firearms first and then go to court.” You can learn more by watching my video at the top of the page.

So please join us for this LIVE interview with GOA’s Erich Pratt and stay active in the chat because your question might just be the one I ask!

Spread the word because this ban, if left unchallenged, will pave the way for more arbitrary infringements that threaten the 2nd Amendment. I look forward to seeing you on Guns & Gadgets!!

@Oldvet; Good but I want them to go to good homes, I hope, HaHaHa, not to be turned in at some buy back!!!!!!! Used to go to them in hopes of getting some nice pieces before they got inside, locals were also doing it, caught wind of that from police as they were doing it also, not quite above board but a way to try and save some nice pieces from being destroyed!!!!!!!!

@JPM; No truer words spoken, that would rid all of the paperwork to get POB court orders!!!!!!!

Most law enforcement agencies in the country have laws already allowing people that are “a danger to themselves or others” detained until they can be evaluated WITHOUT firearm seizure. Every law abiding gun owner should be writing to their representatives telling them in no uncertain terms they will not support so called red flag laws.

I have now finally had my fill, I am going to start getting rid of all of my guns, that way when the ATF comes looking I won’t have any problem, I can just say there all gone, now at that point, they will be able to see that, No Problem, Right???? Also I won’t have to worry about the RED FLAG LAWS either?????? It will be just great to live in peace with no violence, no murders, no name calling, and I hope I can still grow a flower in a flower pot without the government giving me flack… Read more »

Remember, peasants, police will never go door-to-door confiscating firearms from people who haven’t hurt anybodyOH. WAIT.

Think about who enforces these “laws” and obeys these “orders”.

As usual the NRA is pandering again. Kind of like a never ending episode of dialing for dollars. Seems that Trump is in fact living up to the fears that some of us had before he was elected. Still better than HRC, but damn it!

Acting Attorney General Whitaker has no standing and isn’t qualified to be Attorney General according to the democrats in congress therefore anything he signs or implements as a regulation isn’t valid.
There has to be a court to intervene about his power and office, the dems can’t have it both ways.

He’s a populist, and if he hears enough voices chanting for ERPOs he will want to implement them. And like many others before him he will run his mouth before educating himself on the subject. ERPOs look good on the surface, who wouldn’t want to disarm a potential killer, but it’s like a s**t filled Twinkie. Bite into it and discover the real taste of gov’t overreach and the potential for abuse of our constitutional rights. Having the NRA endorse them doesn’t help either.

Trump has a bad habit of opening his mouth without thinking things through. This case may not fit that category though because he went on to publish recommendations to states. All this makes you think he considers himself as King Trump rather than President Trump. His walking on the Constitution is totally unjustified. I don’t think lying, cheating, stealing Hiliary could have done this bad. I am thinking that if I want to go out back and shoot the neighbor that lives a mile away doesn’t like to hear gun shots and could turn me in for a red flag… Read more »
