Deja Vu! Moms Demand Action Give INACCURATE Testimony AGAIN

Florida – -(AmmoLand.com)- On Monday 3/25/2019, SB-1238 – Guns on Private Property of Churches by Sen. Debbie Mayfield was heard in the Senate Judicary Committee and PASSED by a vote of 4-2.

However, the story of the day was the arrogance and lack of professionalism by Bloomberg’s Moms Demand Action lobbying group and their “lobbyist of the day.”

Dressed like she was going to a flea market, instead of appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Moms Demand Action (MDA) “volunteer,” Beth Dumond of Tallahassee, read the same INACCURATE testimony that a different “volunteer” read to House Judiciary Committee last week.

However, Ms. Dumond critized two legislators on the House Criminal Justice who reprimanded the MDA Lobbyist for previous INACCURATE testimony. Ms. Dumond accused legislators Rep. Mike Grieco (D) and Rep. Byron Donalds (R) of essentially being “confused” about the meaning of legal terminology.

Accusing two legislators — an Attorney and a Financial Advisor — of being “confused” and essentially saying they don’t understand legal terminology is the height of arrogance.

Folks, you just can’t make this stuff up…..Some ghost somewhere is obviously paid by Bloomberg to write this inaccurate testimony.

You can view this anti-gun arrogance for yourself . Use the link below and move the time bar at the bottom of the screen to the 1:12:00 mark to begin the hearing on SB-1238.

Voting in FAVOR of the SB-1238 were: Senators Dennis Baxley (R), Travis Hutson (R), Kelli Stargel (R), & Chair. David Simmons (R).

Voting AGAINST SB-1230 were: Senators Audrey Gibson (D) & Jose Rodriguez (D)

Background: SB-1238 is about RESTORING the property rights of churches, synagogues, and other religious institutions.

Currently, religious institutions are being prevented from making safety and security decisions on their own property. They’re being prohibited from having security teams to provide safety on church property and from allowing citizens who are licensed to carry from protecting themselves and their families on church property.

These rights are the very same rights that private citizens, businesses, and other private organizations have on their property.

Just because a church has a private child care program or private pre-school program does not mean the government can hijack it’s property. Church property is not school property and it’s not government property.

The state has no more right to strip away the property rights of churches than it does to prohibit ME or YOU from having guns in our homes because we home school our children or grandchildren.

This bill restores the right of religious institutions to make their own decisions about whether or not they want guns on their property and if so, who can and who cannot carry on church property.

This bill amends the concealed carry licensing law to make it clear that churches have the right to make decisions about the safety and protection of members and guests on the property of religious institutions.

Leftists telling lies. Nothing new here. But since they’re sumbitting testimony before a legislative body, doesn’t that mean they’re breaking the law, telling whoppers?? They should be arrested, charged, and held without bail. Then prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law!!

Patriot guy

Moms demand action (porn movie). Another bunch of hysterical, mentally unstable, schizophrenic. confused, women with PMS who use meth and masturbate too much!
If they can’t say anything truthful, make up stuff and lie as women usually do. Why would anyone in their right mind listen to this group supported by Bloomberg? Background checks = gun registration = gun confiscation = you locked away forever in a New World Order concentration death camp!

Son_of_Liberty

I literally want someone to make a porno and use this as the title now… Thank you for that.

It is interesting how a bunch of mothers, and father’s, who can’t control their own children, demand that grown adults bend to their will.

Tommy

Our Pastor is armed and so are our Deacons. I and many others ( Men and Women ) attend all services at our Church armed and ready to defend ourselves and others should the need arrive.

MDA = Moronic Dumb A$$es

Churches without arms is a dangerous place to be especially after the collection plate has been passed. Most churches do not lock the doors after the service starts so a, would be, robber could walk in at any time and hold the congregation at gun point. In the church we attend there are several people that carry but I have to say the co-pastors do not think guns are a good idea. They have only been there about a year and their progressive colors are showing. Both have their doctorate which means they have spent the better part of their… Read more »

Jesus’ disciples were armed everywhere they went and to all services. He commanded them to do so. Anyone should be if they are willing and able.

The statement made that groups would be able to bring guns into prisons and courthouses (I personally have no problem with that one) is preposterous and infantile. The groups have members present in those places/situations, but the group or organization itself is not “using” it.

JPM

Churches are private property and tax exempt and not subject to the same regulations and laws as public schools. The church I attend not only has gun carrying members, but the pastor carries and is a shooter. They have even raffled off a gun and ammo as a fund raiser. I have a good friend in Alabama who is on her church’s security committee and they are armed. The bill is just another needless law to make the sponsors look like they are “doing a good job”, and a false flag. One of the big problems we have is that… Read more »

State laws determine whether a church with a part-time school is considered a school (ergo gun-free) or not. In my home of state of Indiana, that is precisely the case. Unless the church and school board authorize carrying, the church property that also houses a pre-school in the building, an elementary private school next door (same property parcel) and a high school on the other side (again same property parcel), the church is considered a gun-free school all the time. Legislators are working to fix that loophole to allow the church to function safely when school is not in session.… Read more »

That’s awesome Mr Gibbons! Here in Colorado there are many churches that have security teams who also train together with LEO’S so they know what to do if God forbid some crazy lunatic try’s to come in shooting. Not only do they conceal carry but one or two of them will stand inside the front doors with their AR’s. We all know what happens in gun free zones.

You don’t understand this : in the State of Florida, churches, private schools whether on church property or elsehwere, day care, etc, now have a blanket prohibition against anyone carrying a firearm on the property. Somehow the State have figured that such properties must not allow anyone to be armed other than on duty law enforcement. This bill IS needed to restore back to those who own/control such properties the right to protect themselves in the manner THEY see as best. Utah is another state that has a blanket prohibition aginast weapons in any church facility. Most other states either… Read more »

what happened to seperation of church and state?

Hysteria concerning firearms on church or any other property is just that, hysteria!
The Communists (formerly Democrats) are coming for your guns at all levels – home, school, church and all sites, public and private, because they know that an unarmed populace is easy pickings because they can’t defend themselves against the government and other criminals.
Goebbels once stated that if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.
This is what “mommies demand action” and other Bloomberg fronts want you to accept – The Lie!

Charles Moore

Hysteria. Exactly – good word choice. Delusional. That IS all that it is. (Except, to say, tyrannical on the part of any and all “officials” that propose to restrict or eliminate our rights (and everyone’s TRUE right to actual safety). Saying you have a right to “safety” by NOT “allowing” guns around you IS NOT safety and therefore is an illusion and not an actual right at all. You do have the right to be safe. People such as myself are the ones who actually provide it to you.

MacofJack

When you are fed lies you speak lies! Sad to say!

It is probably not an irony her last name is Dumbond, like the “B”, she should have remained silent. Now she has removed all doubt.

The article’s characterization of these women falls a bit short of an accurate description. It is so patently obvious their entire gambit, fueled by the SOB of the decade Michael Bloomberg’s filthy money: To use the “mommy” aspect to garner attention, raising themselves to the height of emotionalism for effect. It is a ruse, because of the very point in the article: Raw, arrogant mis-statements, and their inability to see the flaws in their arguments. That is ignorance, plain and simple. Ignorance is the hallmark of the anti-gun lobby. It is time we drive that fact home every opportunity.

Tionico

I’ll bet every one of these wymmin overfilling those disgusting red tee shirts is pro abortion on demand. Meanwhile they spew their canned meme that “if it saves just ONE life….” None will admit to even one percent of the three million or so lives saved each year as Good Guys with Guns use them to stop crime daily…. most times without even firing the gun they use. Nope, it is all about disarming the masses so the putative slavemasters will have an easier time of effecting their claim of ownership upon us when the “time is right”. Remember, the… Read more »

In my town in Florida I know one church where even the pastors carry guns. We don’t have a problem with it. This ignorant woman does not speak for WE residents of Florida!

Green Mtn. Boy

Demanding Commie Mommy’s up to their usual antics of lies and deceit, that’s the best B-Loon-Berg’s money can buy.

m.

if it’s a lie, call it that in your storyline

John A Jameson

What if it is just hysterical histrionics? Mommy frustration? Being Bloomberg’s mouthpiece? Legislation without regard for established law? Why not extend the gestation period from 9 months to 18 years? Why not sign your full name?

m.

why do you care? tell someone who gives a s**t, a**hole.

Wallace Curry

Typical Libtard response. Fight facts with estrogen infused bile.

Wallace Curry

They did, you twit. The writer just used multi-syllabic wording to ferret out Libtard morons, like you, who hide within plain sight – pretending to be conservatives.

m.

libtard morons can confront me in person @ anytime, happy to demonstrate what conservatism looks like.
