Virginia – -(AmmoLand.com)- Virginia Citizens Defense League has been made aware of an incident at a Walmart in Kentucky where someone open carrying a handgun was approached by police and asked to sign a trespass document saying he acknowledges being banned for Walmart property anywhere in the U.S., indefinitely.
That contradicts the official policy as laid out by Walmart’s CEO.
I have also heard from a third party that Walmart is going to post their stores “no open carry.” However, I’m not taking that as Gospel until someone actually sees such a sign.
In the meantime, I recommend that you do not open carry in Walmart for at least a week until we see if such a sign materializes or we get more definitive information from Walmart.
Concealed carry remains a safe option, as Walmart’s policy specifically allows for such.
Walmart Pushing Gun Control Ala Dicks Sporting Goods
Walmart is now behaving much like Dicks Sporting Goods by pushing gun control and is going to lose a lot of business from gun owners, accordingly.
Walmart claims to be working with Moms Demand Action on lobbying Congress to look at “strengthening background checks,” to “remove weapons from those proven to pose an imminent danger,” and “the reauthorization of the assault weapon ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness.”
Lobbying Congress for more gun control crosses the line.

Clear above to watch the video of the trespass incident in the Kentucky Walmart and go here to see the follow-up video. I really don’t like how the police handled this incident. So much for the Walmart CEO’s claim that gun customers will be treated respectfully and non-confrontationally.
Tomorrow an alert will have more information on how to handle such an incident.

People need to open carry more. The public will slowly get use to it. As for Walmart and CVS and Walgreens I will take shopping elsewhere. Stand up don’t back down
“….do not open carry in Walmart….” I’m no fan of “open carry,” even though legal, as I don’t want any BG deciding I may need to be the ‘first one shot.’ Wallymart deciding to not carry firearms and ammunition, after having put all but a few small gun store businesses out of business, is a much larger gripe! Check with Tucker Carlson on how he feels about Wallymart. The BLOWBACK from America’s 100 MILLION gun owners, almost one third the U.S. population, SHOULD be BANNING Wallymart from receiving ANY of their business. That would be a truly Walmart ‘pocketbook’ influencing… Read more »
I can give some advice right now. NEVER sign anything. Your signature is the most valuable thing you possess. Whenever you sign a piece of paper, you are voluntarily agreeing to something. You cannot be forced to sign. A signature under duress means nothing. Never agree to anything just because someone tells you to. Always understand first, and sign later.
People need to understand all Walmart CVS & Walgreens will just create target rich areas. Think about it murder in some states is death and the others life. So as said so many times crooks don’t follow the laws. EU has some of the most strict gun control laws and the crooks have RPG’s that work full Automatic weapons. UK cops now carry weapons. A while back just night sticks. The point is the crook’s still have weapons no mater what you do.
Opinion: Stop going to Walmart.
It’s simple. GET WOKE, GO BROKE. Every gun owner & their families ALL need to STOP SHOPPING AT WALMART FOREVER! That will send the right message!!
Why would you do this? Why would you try to give them your money? Walmart has made it clear they do not support our rights. Read it straight from them https://tinyurl.com/y3h7mtym. I really like this part “Walmart is a charter member of the Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership, organized by Walmart and Everytown for Gun Safety.” Looks like they are proud partners with one of the most anti-gun organizations out there. DON’T support them!! After a quick google search it appears that between 30 and 45% of households in America have guns. Don’t you think if these retailers lost 30-45% of… Read more »
Most businesses that would post signs stating that no weapons allowed, Wal-Mart CEO has stated that Conceal Carry is OK, just please don’t Open Carry, Respect their rights as a business they prefer the not open carry, If you care not to comply with their request and are confronted about it, use some common sense and just comply they have set their policies, they aren’t banning your right to carry they just prefer to have you carry Concealed! If you don’t want to do this just don’t shop there, there are other stores, just like TV’s if you don’t like… Read more »
Citizens are safer when criminals don’t know who’s armed.
So, by their own admission, 7 armed, uniformed thugs who neglect their duties to keep the community safe from criminals, invade a Walmart, and hold a law-abiding American hostage. Then, they disarm the victimized citizen who only wants to assure his own safety (and, incidentally, the safety of others). Upon having returned the responsible American’s firearm and loaded magazine to him, the armed criminals watch the law-abiding American reload his sidearm and turn away from him, only to return and coerce the hostage into signing acknowledgement that he’s banned from Walmart. And these uniformed criminals who are oath-sworn to uphold… Read more »
