Good for the Plinkster!
I remember a day when you could go to Kmart
and get 2 boxes (200 rds) of CCI Mini mags for $5. Stingers were a $5 for a hundred. During the 8 years of Obama, you were lucky to find anything 22lr without being gouged. The 22lr is as American as baseball and apple pie. Unfortunately the leftists in office
don’t resemble anything American anymore.

CCI makes some of the best .22 long rifle ammo on the market and I have used it for decades. Their quality control exceeds that of any other domestic .22lr manufacturer. That being said, I don’t think “accurate” is applicable to Stingers out past 10 to 25 yards compared to CCIs’ other .22 ammo. I have almost always had several boxes or a brick of Stingers and shoot them mostly for plinking at full soda cans, water jugs and other targets for their “explosive” effect for fun and to demonstrate to kids and folks just getting into shooting just how… Read more »

I like 22plinkster, awesome person and FANTASTIC SHOT !!! But at 100 rounds for $16, I’ll pass…. That’s getting back into the Obama , can’t find ammo anywhere, realm.
16 cents per round is .223/9mm price range, basically every 6 shots is a buck.
Make them $10-$12.00, a much more realistic price.
Yeah, these would be ones that are VERY special occasion AMMO, like plinksters daddy had done. Nice collectors item I guess.

My 5000 Stingers, like my 5000 22 Mags were obtained when an elderly relative passed away. That was over 15 years ago and I haven’t fired more than a box out of each lot. My grandsons will get it someday; probably a box or two at a time. UPS is supposed to deliver 5000 rds of 22 LR from Target Sports today. Like a kid in a candy store.

That 5000 rounds showed up via UPS around 4:00 this afternoon. Aguila 40gr RN plated. Looks good!

LOL! Dating meself as ‘oldt,’ I recall shooting my model 67 single shot for all of one penny per shot! That was in pennies valued in 1955;) That one cent in ’55 bought as much then as $.096 buys today! Following inflation, that $.50 per 50 rounds then should now cost you $4.80. So you are correct that those ‘Stangers’ should be no more than $9.60 per hundred! I’m unsure how much the manufacturing of .22 ammo has improved these last 65 years, or how much the cost of materials for that manufactur has increased, but finding any .22 LR… Read more »

Rock- It was just back in the middle eighties that I could by bricks online of CCI Blazer and Aguila SE hollowpoints for 7.39. I did buy a bunch of that and still have about 5000 rds of it left.
I have since been buying .22 LR, but am not too happy about the higher prices and I don’t think the quality is all that good. In my AR conversion there are only about 3 or 4 brands that shoot well and extract well. The old stuff stll runs perfect.

I mainly shoot suppressed, my go to CCI loads are CCI standard velocity & subsonic. They’re quiet and accurate. Never had a use for stingers. Bought a few of the blue, 50rnd cases 20 years ago and they’re still sitting on the shelf…

Redneck word of the day StAngerZ. Lol. Awesome vid 22! CCI has good ammo but yea a lil pricey. Hella clean compared to anything else and you can feel more recoil/louder. Agreed def not plinking ammo for this red neck.

I would not consider CCI Stingers to be “accurate” ammunition. “Minute of squirrel” at 25 yards, sure. “Minute of squirrel” at 100 yds, no. And yet other 22lr rounds are that accurate. Disclaimer: I only have 5000 CCI Stinger rounds in my stash.
