U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- Today, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers disagreed with the state legislature and the law-abiding gun owners that they represent, by vetoing Assembly Bill 495 and Assembly Bill 518. While expected, we are still disappointed in Governor Evers’ continued disregard for law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights.
Assembly Bill 495, sponsored by Representative Robert Brooks (R-60), allows adults who are licensed to carry firearms, to drive onto school grounds to pick-up or drop-off their students without first having to unload and store away their firearms in their vehicles. So-called “gun-free zones” simply disarm law-abiding citizens and leave them defenseless against the criminals who ignore such arbitrary boundaries.
Assembly Bill 518, sponsored by Representative Rick Gundrum (R-58), grants universal recognition to concealed carry permits held by non-Wisconsin residents, issued by any other state. It repeals the requirement that such recognition be only for permits from states on an arbitrary list maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. This reform recognizes that visitors traveling to Wisconsin should not be left defenseless simply by crossing a state line.

Wow, surprise, surprise surprise. A dedicated leftist, a life long member of the Progressive New Left spits on your Natural Rights. I am just stunned. Who would have ever guessed?
Folks, we have been in a cultural revolution since the 1960’s. It is about time we admit it to ourselves. Nearly half of our country hates our country.
Stand by for heavy rolls.
Evers is one of the mane D governors who only won because it was Trump’s midterm and the Steele Dossier and subsequent investigation had not been found to be illegitimate and fruitless. Hopefully, he is on his way out and the voter of Wisconsin will get a governor who will uphold the law and make logical decisions, rather than emotional ones tied to progressive talking points.
I hope so too but I’m sorry to say many of my fellow Wisconsinites can be kind of stupid about such things.
It appears the people of Wisconsin need to give Tony the tyrant his walking papers next time he is up for re election .
That is what you get when people vote for anti-American Commicrats.
Gun-free Zones = Killing Zones. ‘Nuff said.
