No doubt about it, the best looking revolvers are Colt snake guns. A month ago I asked a gun shop to let me handle a Colt they had on display and I dry fired several times, both single and double action. I then did the same with a Smith & Wesson. What a difference. I’m not saying buy one over the other but a brand new 586 Classic is in the house. Colt is no longer an American owned company. The new line of colts had light primer strike problems and after re-design was not your daddy’s colt. I wonder if the new foreign owned company did a re-design again to fix the problem or not. Just before Colt sold out, the company was telling those that were having problems to find the brand that would work and stick with it, not that they would fix it because they gave up on trying to after about 3 months of problems.
