Clarksville, TN – A veteran-owned gun shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, is fighting to stay alive after the ATF revoked its Federal Firearms License (FFL) over what the owners say were minor clerical errors.
Tactical Edge Arms, a well-known firearms store and gear shop on Fort Campbell Boulevard, had served the community for 13 years before the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives pulled the plug in 2023. The owners, William Boswell and Robert Snyder, say the alleged infractions were small—just 10 clerical errors on nearly 2,500 forms. But under the Biden administration’s now-repealed “zero tolerance” policy, that was enough to shut them down.
“We’ve made similar mistakes in the past, fixed them, and moved on,” said Snyder. “This time, they didn’t give us a chance. It cost us almost $100,000 in legal fees trying to fight it.”
Without their FFL, the shop lost its ability to sell firearms or manufacture parts—crippling their main revenue stream.

The owners were forced to close their manufacturing facility and shift focus to accessories and gear. Despite being near Fort Campbell and catering to military personnel, the loss of the FFL has cut deep.
“We’ve just been trying to hang on,” Boswell added. “It’s not the same without the license.”
Tactical Edge’s story isn’t unique. Under Biden’s “zero tolerance” crackdown, gun dealers across the country faced license revocations for honest mistakes, many without clear due process. However, in April 2025, the Trump administration officially repealed that policy, opening the door for a possible reset.
U.S. Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) has stepped in, calling for a full review of all FFLs revoked under Biden’s directive. In a letter to Attorney General Pamela Bondi, Green called the enforcement “egregious and predatory” and demanded that past revocations be re-evaluated.
“It is time to make this right,” Green said.
In an attempt to appease the far left, the administration developed a radical anti-gun agenda, including its ‘zero tolerance’ policy. In so doing, the Biden-Harris administration did not care about the livelihoods and family businesses that were affected. https://t.co/dFH7it9g5z

The ATF responded by stating that it’s finalizing a new national policy for handling GCA violations and that pending administrative actions will be reviewed under the new guidelines.
That could be the lifeline Tactical Edge needs to get back on its feet.
Still, the road ahead is steep.
“We were growing steadily,” Snyder said. “Now, it’ll take us 10 years just to get back to where we were.”
As Washington debates whether justice will be served for small dealers hit by a heavy-handed bureaucracy, shops like Tactical Edge wait—scraping by and hoping the system that broke them will fix itself.

atf should pay damages to these shops and it should come from payroll no money for goobers too bad
All these shops should be looked at for what the violation was. If it is a minor violation, they should have full reinstatement and have a waver for fees if you need to pay them every year for at least 4 years if that is how the system works. I would give the mom and pop shops priority. When the feds mess up they say, we have the power, we have your money to back what ever we say and make you go to court and pay to win or lose when your money runs out. They mess up all… Read more »
Hmm – since the bats have an extensive and long term history of making ‘mistakes’ (many of which resulted in unwarranted deaths without due process) they should shut themselves down but they won’t.
Brain dead did not even know this was even going on. The communists in the Soiled House on 1600 Penn Ave were making all the decisions to destroy America.
All FFL license revocations under brain dead should be reinstated. And folks that lost their business should be reimbursed for their lost revenue.
Biden screwed the pooch on this one. I don’t think he had the real authority for doing what he did by forcing the ATF to shaft FFL owners for minor infractions. Biden should have been impeached for pushing his anti-gun agenda but the GOP sat on their hands again. I’m beginning to wonder if the GOP is just an ARM of the DEM party since we have so many RINOS sticking it to legal gun owners. The ATF should be shut down.
There shouldn’t be any FFL’s. The gov has no authority and is in fact prohibited from having a say over citizens weapons. Regulating is infringing. Anyone not currently in prison has the right to bearable arms.
Funny how many ETHICAL ships do nor have this issue
