I bought one for $100.00 from a person who bought it new, shot it once, and hated it. I put in a weaker hammer spring, a much heavier recoil spring, an aftermarket adjustable trigger, and then molybdenum-treated every part. Next I added a wrap-around grip and a one-round extended Ruger mag. Total cost of additional parts was about $150.00. Time for moly-treat and installation and adjustment of aftermarket parts was probably 4 or 5 hours. Shoots pretty good now, and I sometimes carry it when wearing shorts.

Would I buy another? Nope. There are reasons that Ruger upgraded this pistol.
