How Many Leftist Murders Will It Take?

North Carolina – “Hey fascist! Catch!” So inscribed Tyler Robinson, age 22 and described as “becoming more political,” on the 30-06 ammunition he used to assassinate Charlie Kirk. Unsurprisingly, Robinson was also involved in a “romantic relationship” with the transsexual male with whom he reportedly shared an apartment.

Bill Maher tried to claim “We don’t know sh!t” about Robinson’s motives, of course. Meanwhile, leftists and their ostensibly Republican apologists are claiming we need to tone down “divisiveness” in our political rhetoric. This, of course, from the lying left that started branding Donald Trump and, indeed, all conservatives, as “fascists.”

But never mind that. I’m sure it’s all a coincidence.

Also per usual, the left immediately engaged in victim-blaming as a University of Pennsylvania professor drew (metaphorical) fire for claiming “white on white violence has gotten out of hand” while retweeting various derogatory posts about Kirk.

MSNBC anchor Matthew Dowd got fired for saying: “Hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions … You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and then not expect awful actions to take place.”

According to the Guardian, “Dowd also speculated about the circumstances of the shooting, saying: ‘We don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration. So we have no idea about this.’”

Most recently “not fired” was late night embittered leftist Jimmy Kimmel, “indefinitely preempted” by ABC for … well … being Jimmy Kimmel and claiming that MAGA did it.

Obviously, it was all your fault.

Surprise!

Suddenly, the side that called Kirk the “Hitler Youth” is shocked (“Shocked, I tell you!”) when yet another of its followers takes the message to heart and decides to do something about it. Ostensible criminologist Casey Jordan, on MSNBC, claimed to be clueless about the meaning of Robinson’s inscriptions on the shell casings insisting, with a straight face, that “I’m kind of overwhelmed with how immature it all sounds, and that there is no really chronic theme” (blithely ignoring that her words pretty much describe Antifa and related anarchist/leftist motives everywhere.)

After all, how else, other than self-deception, can an entire political movement declare Charlie Kirk, whose mission was to bring love, inclusion, and non-violent discourse to American youth, as a “hatemonger.” We’re talking about someone who said, when confronted by a campus leftist screaming, “Why are you here?”

“OK, I’ve been asked that question a lot. First of all, the question should not even have to be asked. But when people stop talking, really bad stuff starts. When marriages stop talking, divorce happens. When civilizations stop talking, civil war ensues. When you stop having a human connection with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to want to commit violence against that group … What we as a culture have to get back to is being able to have a reasonable disagreement, where violence is not an option.”

A trend? Gee, ya’ think?

The left, which lurked in its caves during the Biden regime, has responded to Donald Trump’s victory by emerging with fangs fully bared. Judging by two assassination attempts against Trump; a dead United HealthCare CEO; two dead Jewish diplomats; a couple of transsexual mass murders, attacks on ICE agents; the shooting of US House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and two other Republicans at a Congressional baseball practice (yeah, that’s “old news”); as well as various and sundry murders, lootings and rioting; the violence, as Donald Trump Jr. understated it, is “not going both ways.”

Imagine if the assassination victim had been Al Sharpton. The result would have been cities torn asunder by rioting, looting, arson, and murder. Instead, conservatives continue turning the other cheek again and again as leftists whack each one, in turn, with a two-by-four.

But surely the left is sorry for promulgating assassination, right?

Lest you’re inclined to think the left has at last learned its lesson, consider that leftist media, academics, students, and other workers are dropping like flies, fired or otherwise censured for publicly celebrating the horrific murder in which Kirk died clutching his neck with blood spouting from a high-powered rifle wound.

A Clemson University student, when asked why she was dancing and mocking Kirk’s death, responded with crocodile tears, saying: “Because he’s a terrible person, and he deserved to die.”

Long Island newspaper Newsday has been forced, under threat of boycott, to apologize for publishing a cartoon of Kirk’s empty and bloodied chair under signage saying “Prove me wrong.” In case anybody missed the message, they helpfully included an arrow to the image with the words “Turning Point USA.” Elsewhere, consider:

  • Reporter Matthew Doud, fired from MSNBC as described above.
  • Jimmy Kimmel, “indefinitely preempted” as described above.
  • Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, dropped by the newspaper for her derogatory misquote of comments made by Kirk.
  • PHNX Sports reporter Gerald Bourguet, fired for proclaiming on social media that “Refusing to mourn a life devoted to that cause is not the same thing as celebrating gun violence,” thoughtfully adding “Truly don’t care if you think it’s insensitive or poor timing to decline to respect an evil man who died.”
  • Austin Peay State University professor of theatre Darren Michael, fired for his social media post on Kirk’s death.
  • Middle Tennessee University Assistant Dean of Students Laura Sosh-Lightsy, whose firing was announced by President Sydney A. McPhee for “inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk.”
  • Cumberland University, which announced the firing Dr. Michael Rex and Max Wood, “both of whom made inappropriate comments on the internet related to the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk.”
  • Nasdaq employee fired for social media comments that were a “clear violation” of their policy.
  • An American Airlines pilot, against whom the airline has “initiated action” to address “hate-related” behavior for social media posts mocking Kirk’s death as “the cost of our liberty.”

The list continues to grow. But scariest of all – demonstrating how deeply leftists have sunk their claws into American society – was Secret Service agent Anthony Pough, who offered, on Facebook, that Kirk “spewed hate and racism on his show … at the end of the day, you answer to GOD, and speak things into existence. You can only circumvent karma, she doesnt [sic] leave.” Pough is now reportedly the one on leave. (Speaking of karma, dude …)

As always, the left claims victimhood. Ramifications of publicly celebrating the assassination of someone who advocated love and unity have been described by the Associated Press as a “clampdown on speech” and, without even a hint of irony, “cancel culture.”

Should we “reduce divisiveness?”

You are now hearing calls to “end divisiveness;” that we need to “bring down the heat on rhetoric;” that we should “unite against political violence.”

The problem with that pie-in-the-sky approach is that it only works if both sides participate. Sadly, however, the side which produced nearly all of the inflammatory rhetoric has no intention of doing so, even at the highest levels. You may remember that it was the Biden regime which started using the “Hitler” and “fascist” tags.

Moreover, as Jesse Watters of Fox News pointed out, the viciousness we see is no longer “fringe,” coming, as it now does, from prominent politicians, fire chiefs, teachers, CEOs, and even a neurologist. We face a political left which has normalized things like defacing murals honoring the death of someone who advocated peaceful discourse.

Nor is it unintended. As I have pointed out in previous blogs, leftist violence is supported by billionaires’ (and even Chinese) money funneled through dark-money non-profit organizations to bankroll leftist/anarchist chaos. Said Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) on Watters’ show, “They know what they’re funding.”

As demonstrated by the Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Cuba, and every other place Marxism has been allowed to metastasize, assassination is, to Marxists, an acceptable policy instrument.

Mainstream Americans are asleep

Maybe you’re encouraged by the number of commentators being fired for hate-filled comments about Kirk; maybe you’re encouraged by the thousands joining Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, in an apparent groundswell of public support.

In both cases, don’t be. What you are seeing is a short-term snap-back to a horrific act which, sadly, won’t last. Never overestimate the attention span of the American public.

Mainstream Americans, having won in 2024 by sending Trump to the White House, assume The Donald will do it all. They have stopped supporting conservative organizations and have largely tuned out on increasingly violent reactions of the left. Donations to my organization have dropped by half.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk demonstrates that vicious neo-Marxists haven’t gone away, and won’t anytime soon. Tyler Robinson’s conservative parents have described how he became radicalized over the past year. Given the deliberate effort to tear down western society and replace it with neo-Marxism, he won’t be the last.

As Trump Jr. so aptly stated it, “… when the left realizes that they are losing arguments, they resort to this violence …”

So, I’m asking, “How many leftist murders will it take before you and millions of mainstream Americans like you finally reclaim our country?”

No, I’m not talking about responding with violence. I’m talking about staying politically active; continuing to support conservative organizations; and loudly and publicly calling “bullshit” on leftist efforts to hijack your culture.

Gun rights supporters:

As I note above, conservatives in general and gun owners in particular have gone to sleep. Having resoundingly won the 2024 elections, they have largely stopped contributing to Grass Roots North Carolina, as well as other organizations, on the assumption that things are improving and that Donald Trump will take care of it.

As I note above, however, the killing of Charlie Kirk, followed by public celebration of the horrific murder, means the left has is not going away anytime soon. Meanwhile, GRNC donations are running roughly half of what they did in 2024, meaning that right now we don’t have the funds to do our critical “Remember in November” voter education project, through which we distribute 150,000 voter guides to gun owning voters.

I know many of you have contributed generously, but right now our funds are dangerously low. Accordingly, I am asking you to contribute to Grass Roots North Carolina by going to: grnc.org/wp/2012/06/donate-to-or-join-grnc/

We desperately need your help to continue our three-decade-long history of success.

About Paul Valone

Author F. Paul Valone has been kicking leftist tail for twenty-eight years. Alarmed by the U.S. House passage of the “assault weapon” ban in 1994, he decided to take action. Finding no suitable organization, he organized a rally leading to the creation of a 501(c)(4) organization, Grass Roots North Carolina (GRNC), which remains North Carolina’s primary and most successful gun rights group to this day.

as history has shown us, progs/leftists do not care how many people have to die in an effort to obtain the utopia they have concocted in their twisted evil minds. also, it is kind of a grand assumption to say that conservative are asleep because contributions to your organization have been halved. have you seen the outpouring of support in the wake of the kirk assassination? conservatives are supporting this country while the prog left is trying to tear it divide it. very few of the people i talk with, on both sides of the political spectrum like what has… Read more »

We are talking about a study in contrasts. When George Floyd died (largely due to his own poor choices), the left rioted, looted, and burned. When Charlie Kirk died (at the hands of a deranged murderer), the right held memorial services and candle light vigils, while many on the left celebrated his death. I think that it’s pretty clear which side advocates violence. When you look at the evidence, the “Both sides” argument falls flat.

Two issues; You keep saying “leftist/anarchist”. Anyone who advocates for more state power and more intervention in our lives, as everyone on the left does, is not an anarchist. It doesn’t matter what they say they are. They are not anarchists. Murray Rothbard and Lysander Spooner were not on the left. If you follow small l libertarianism out to it’s logical conclusion, that a state is nothing more than a mechanism for corruption and oppression, and that people have a natural/God Given right to do anything that doesn’t harm another person or another person’s property, that is anarchism. The second… Read more »
