Michigan –-(Ammoland.com)- As the U.S. economy continues to struggle maybe the Obama administration should look to the gun industry as an example of excellence in manufacturing.

Sturm, Ruger & Company proudly announced that their Ruger SR9c handgun model has been named the “Handgun of the Year” for the third straight year by the Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence.

This award was presented during the 8th Annual Shooting Industry Masters held July 23rd in Grand Island, Nebraska. The award committee is a 500-member group consisting of manufacturers, editors, writers, distributors and retailers within the gun industry.

Ruger President and CEO Mike Fifer commented on the honor, “Ruger is honored to receive this award for the third year in a row. We are gratified that Ruger’s innovation and excellence in product design has once again been recognized by members of the firearms community.”

The Ruger SR9c is a line extension of the SR9 striker-fired pistol focusing on a more compact version of the slimmest and most ergonomic 9mm pistol on the market. This model offers hand gun owners an even smaller, more concealable option making it ideal for discreet carry.

The SR9c pistol weighs 24oz and features an overall length of 6.875” with a 5.00” height and a slim 1.27” grip. The suggested retail price for the SR9c sits around $525.00.

Ruger man

Errata,

So sorry every cannot meet your high standards of journalism. Most hand gunners like me are morre interested in the weapon itself not the musings of some amateur writer. Lighten the hell up! buy a Ruger shoot something, be happy.

Luis

Errata:

The firearm company is 'Sturm Ruger"…, not "Strum"…

It's the 'Ruger SR9c", not "Rugar".
