here has never been an election with more serious potential outcomes for firearms owners and shooters as the one we are facing in November, 2016.
This is the first time that IDPA has officially endorsed a candidate for any elected office. We have never felt this strongly about the potential risks this upcoming election brings.
While it’s obvious that the second amendment to the Constitution is at risk, you must also understand that the whole Constitution will be at risk, as well.
I encourage each and every member to get out and vote this year. Our freedoms and existence as we know it depend on each and every one of us.
We have to stand together or we will fall apart.

The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is the governing body of a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters. It was founded in 1996 as a response to the desires of shooters worldwide. The organization now boasts membership of more than 25,000, including members in 70 foreign countries.
One of the unique facets of this sport is that it is geared toward the new or average shooter, yet is fun, challenging and rewarding for the experienced shooter. The founders developed the sport so that practical gear and practical guns may be used competitively. An interested person can spend a minimal amount on equipment and still be competitive.
The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, not equipment or gamesmanship. “Competition only” equipment is not permitted in this sport.

We must be careful how we vote, lest because Donald Trump ability in favor of the second amendment to attract more popularity, we are voting to poison all America. This seems unnecessary to me. The Donald _says_ all sorts of things. None of what I have heard suggest that he is familiar with the Consitution. Clearly the Hildebeast is anti-rights. That doesn’t mean that Trump is _pro-rights_ or that he will take any steps to support 2A protections. Trump talks like _his_ interests come first. Not exactly a quality I want in a president. The IDPA should have endorsed neither candidate.
