Thomas Clark Named New Domestic Airgun Product Manager.
William Mellon Will Be New Scopes and Optics Product Manager.
ROCHESTER, NY --(Ammoland.com)- Crosman Corporation, long a leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of products for the shooting sports, has named two new product managers.
Thomas Clark, a Crosman veteran engineer, has been named product manager for domestic airgun products and William Mellon joins the company to manage CenterPoint Hunting and Outdoors scopes and optics. Both will report to vice president of marketing, Roy Stefanko.
According to Stefanko, the growth of both the airgun and scopes/optics categories for Crosman have been rapid and require strong managers at the helm. “Airgun and optics technology has become the catalyst for growth in both categories. Leading the way, Crosman has recently introduced game-changing airgun and optics technologies in its product lines. Tom Clark has a strong engineering background, having been one of our top manufacturing engineers. William Mellon comes to us with experience both in the US and in Asia, where much of optics design and manufacturing is currently done.” he said. “Together they add both depth and breadth to our product management team. Their design and engineering backgrounds should be a big plus in the years ahead.”
Thomas Clark, the holder of six US patents, joined Crosman last year and has been an important contributor to the engineering team. Prior to joining Crosman, Clark was an engineer and technical sales representative at Arnprior Rapid Manufacturing Solutions and Eastman Kodak, Company. In his new position, he will be responsible for the architecture and marketing of Crosman’s domestic airgun product lines.
William Mellon comes to Crosman from AE Group in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas and Ningbo, China, where he was an engineering design consultant. Before that, he was director of engineering for Sellmark Corporation. Mellon will manage Crosman’s line of CenterPoint scopes and other Crosman optics products. Both product managers will be based at the company’s world headquarters in Bloomfield, NY, and assumed their new positions on October 1, 2011.
