Rock Island Auction Company – -(AmmoLand.com)- Manufactured in 1925 and subsequently custom engraved with fine floral scrollwork with punch dot background on the slide, frame, slide release and 1 inch rear and 1/2 inch front barrel sections.

There are gold inlay wire borders on the sides of the slide and frame with a gold barrel band on the muzzle. Simple scroll lines are above and below the standard left slide caliber markings. The engraver's initials, which appear to be intertwined “JTB”, are marked behind the adjustable rear sight.

The left side of the barrel has the standard two-line Colt Hartford address/patent dates (1903 and 1918). Fitted with checkered grips with diamonds around the screw.

Condition:
Refinished and custom engraved with virtually all of the current blue finish remaining with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are near new with only the slightest handling marks. The markings are clear. The engraving is clear and crisp. ( See RIA Auction for Exact Condition Details)
