ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- Two of Franchi’s new model shotguns have been honored with this year’s NRA’s Golden Bullseye Award.
The Fanchi Affinity has received “Shotgun of the Year” from American Rifleman and Franchi’s Instinct has received “Shotgun of the Year” from American Hunter.
Each year, the NRA publications’ staff members spend significant time testing and reviewing the latest guns, glass and gear in order to select those products that prove to be the best in their respective categories—rifle, shotgun, handgun, optic and accessory—and award them the NRA Publications Division’s highest honor: the Golden Bullseye Award.
“The Golden Bullseye Award has become a much-coveted symbol of excellence, innovation and quality in firearms, accessories and related equipment,” said Joe H. Graham, Executive Director of NRA Publications. “This year’s winning slate offers consumers the very best the shooting and hunting industry has to offer. We congratulate the winners and look forward to recognizing them at the NRA Annual Meetings in Houston.”
Franchi’s Instinct over/under and Affinity semiauto shotguns were introduced last year during a re-branding campaign that involved a complete redesign of the current 12 and 20 gauge guns with the exception of the venerable 48 AL available in 20 and 28 gauge.
“To be honored with the NRA’s Golden Bullseye Award is gratifying to all of us at Benelli USA,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli USA’s VP of Marketing & Communications. “But receiving two in the same year for a single brand is the highest honor for Franchi and one, for which, we are very proud.”
