Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard (R) signed into law an important Right-to-Carry reform that will extend the validity of the state’s Permit to Carry a Concealed Pistol from four to five years.
Senate Bill 166, introduced by state Senator Larry Rhoden (R-29) and state Representative Gary Cammack (R-29), passed unanimously both in the state Senate and the House of Representatives.
Thank you to Governor Daugaard for signing SB 166 into law, bill sponsors Senator Rhoden and Representative Cammack, and to the state legislators who voted to expand the Second Amendment rights for residents of South Dakota. Thank you also to NRA members who contacted their state legislators in support of this legislation.
