Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On Wednesday, gun control advocate Gabby Giffords stood with Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill to demand that everyone buying a gun be required to undergo the same background check Jared Loughner underwent to acquire the Glock he used to shoot her in 2011.
Yes, Loughner acquired his firearm via a background check, as did Jerad and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barbara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), James Holmes (Aurora theater), Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood 2009), among others.
But Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, stood with Democrat lawmakers to argue that expanding background checks to include gun show sales is a way of “stopping violence.” [What?]
The most prominent firearm-related public violence events of the last few years were carried out by men and women who passed background checks to get their firearms. So can someone explain again how applying background checks to more sales will reduce violence, much less stop it?
This is just one more reason why the new gun control push faces a even steeper climb than the one Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) undertook in 2013. Or, to put as The Washington Post did, “The latest Gabby Giffords push for… gun controls is new. The outlook isn’t.”

This is just a sly back door gun grabber trick of the tongue. Next will come the statement, ” you see, even people who pass background checks are criminals so no one should own gun!” Don’t be fooled by this statement. It sounds innocent, but it is anything but innocent.
The author failed to mention Sum Dum Guy or whatever the Va Tech killer’s name was. He is noteworthy because not only did he pass a background check, like ALL the others, HE HAD TO WAIT A MONTH TO BUY HIS SECOND GUN DUE TO VA’S (now defunct, thank God) GUN RATIONING SCHEME! It only gave him an extra month to practice. He took full advantage of the spare time, as evidenced by his unsurpassed results
The unknown quantity in this discussion is how many people would be denied if every transaction required a background check.

Gabby, haven’t you noticed Mark Kelly’s hand up your backside, providing movement to your lips, and the ventriloquist’s voice supposedly coming from you? He is Edgar Bergen to your Charlie McCarthy, as he uses you as a pitiful tool to gain political office. Wake up!
As I said before both Giffords & her husband are frauds. They are in it for the bucks$$$ not anyones safety. When & if people wake up they will have find honest work.
Back ground checks are nothing more than government permission to exercise a Right!

So, if we follow this logic to its’ conclusion, ALL private sale transactions between individuals for ANY serial numbered item, be it a bicycle,lawn mower, television,radio,refrigerator, firearm etc etc will require formal registration with the GOVERNMENT…a receipt, the collection of sales taxes, a registration fee etc etc. SOUND FAMILIAR? More govt. lackeys will be required to manage all the paperwork and money generated…SOUND FAMILIAR? New offices will be established, a new hierarchy of bureaucrats and partisan appointees right down to every county in the state AND EVERY STATE IN THE COUNTRY… HMMM.. SOUND FAMILIAR?? SOUNDS LIKE RUSSIA!!!

Back grounds checks, I’ll go along with that but only if you start with Obama and the democrat party. While we’re at it lets also do drug checks and those that don’t pass get kicked out of office, PERIOD!!!! Then lets do the IRS, EPA, HOMELAND SECURITY then all the federal government employees . Those that don’t pass lose there job, there retirement and all benefits, Period !!!!!!!!
