Newington, NH -(AmmoLand.com)- SIG SAUER, Inc., designer and manufacturer of the world’s most reliable firearms, silencers, optics, ammunition, airguns, and accessories is pleased to announce the addition of industry veterans Ed Schultz and Dani Navickas to the SIG Air Division.

Schultz will serve as engineering manager, spearheading leading-edge product development for the division, and Navickas will serve as product manager for all SIG SAUER Advanced Sport Pellet (ASP) airguns.

“We are building an exceptionally talented team with years of experience in the airgun industry,” said Ron Cohen, president and chief executive officer of SIG SAUER, Inc. “SIG Air is focused on innovation at the highest level, and we will be bringing many exciting new products to market in the months and years ahead.”

Schultz brings 20 years of airgun experience to the team, most recently serving as chief engineer and director of engineering for Crosman Corporation. During this time, Schultz led the development of many groundbreaking product innovations including patented airgun and pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) technologies.

“Changing the way people look at airguns has been my focus from the beginning,” says Schultz, “so becoming a part of the world-class team at SIG SAUER is incredible for someone with a lifelong passion for airguns.”

Navickas began her career in the airgun industry with Beeman Precision Airguns, serving in many positions during her 16-plus years with the company. Eventually becoming product manager, Navickas shepherded all airgun products from concept to market and played a significant role in the branding, sales, and promotion of these products. After Beeman, Navickas became product manager for Remington Outdoor Company’s airgun division where she served for two years prior to joining SIG SAUER.

“I’m extremely excited to be a part of a premier company like SIG SAUER,” said Navickas. “With the current team of highly experienced industry professionals, we have a tremendous opportunity to elevate the airgun category in terms of both product performance and the way people perceive them.”

Schultz and Navickas are both active in ASTM International, the organization which sets industry standards for airguns worldwide. Schultz presently serves as chairman of the technical committee that covers airguns and is also on numerous other committees and subcommittees of ASTM. Navickas is a member of the Non-Powder Gun Products subcommittee of ASTM International.
