The annual pistol tournament was held April 21-24, 2016 at South River Gun Club in Covington, GA. Area 6 is composed of southeastern states and is one of eight regions on the USPSA map.
This years’ match was host to a record setting 500+ competitors from all parts of the USA and included some international competitors. Dave Sevigny won the hotly contested Production with an FN FNS-9 long-slide pistol. The decisive 86-point margin was Dave’s 8th all-time at an Area 6 Championship.
More than 1 in 4 competitors in Production were ranked Master or Grandmaster class skill level, which are the top two skill classifications in USPSA.
“The growth of Production division in recent years is something to look at. Production once trailed Open and Limited for participation but not anymore,” said Dave Sevigny, who is a 12-Time USPSA National Champion including 6 in Production division.
“Dave’s first series of wins of the season came fast and we look forward to more from him in 2016,” said GASTON CEO Beate Arnold.
The next major match for the Sevigny Performance team will be the USPSA Single Stack Nationals in Barry, IL, May 6-7,2016.
Dave Sevigny is a top ranked World and National Champion with over 225 major pistol championship wins.
