Venezuela is waxing worse by the day, but our media is ignoring this disaster in our hemisphere, because this ongoing socialist tragedy represents an embarrassment to their liberal agenda.
The NYT, of all outlets, has had a series of vivid reports, describing the agonizing decomposition of Venezuela’s society and economy, and the inevitable human suffering that follows, as the nation increasingly succumbs to toxic effects of Nicolás Maduro’s liberal/socialist policies, fully implemented.
Of course, Times reporters cannot come out and actually say that the horrors they describe are the inevitable consequences of the self-same policies advocated by their own employer, now can they?
Absolute gun prohibition (leading to off-the-chart violent crime), price/rent controls, artificially high “minimum wages,” obscenely bloated government, brutal repression of dissent, unending government “stimulus,” (ie: desperately printing massive quantities of worthless script), etc, all the policies that unfailingly enjoy a liberal cheering-section here and other dwellings places of the naive, are the obvious cause of this catastrophe. That cheering-section in Venezuela has curiously disintegrated.
Imagine that!
Today’s calamity that is Venezuela follows Ayn Rand’s scenario so closely, her estate should sue them for copyright infringement!
Is any nation under the control of liberals/leftists immune?

Ever since the NYT got Mr. Joshua murdered by publishing his home address, I avoid that rag like the plague. Granted, the guy was no pillar of the community, but he didn;t deserve to be executed like he was. Nobody at the NYT was held accountable for it either.
