ONTARIO, Calif. -(Ammoland.com)- Safariland, a brand of The Safariland Group, today introduced a variety of new gun fits for their popular concealed carry holsters accommodating the Glock 26/27, Glock 42, Glock 43, Ruger LC9S, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and Springfield XD-S.

Safariland Models 18 Inside Waistband, 27 Inside Pants, 578 GLS Pro-Fit, 7371/7378 7TS ALS and 5198 Open Top concealment holsters will be on display at The Safariland Group booth #2142 at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, April 27-30 in Atlanta.

“We’re committed to engineering holsters that reflect market needs,” said James Dawson, category director, Safariland Duty Gear. “By combining additional fits, premium comfort, low-profiles and secure retention, these holsters offer concealed carry users a wider range of options for carrying their small, very concealable firearms.”

Several types of holster models are available for these compact guns: inside waistband (IWB), outside waistband (OWB) and those with Safariland’s internal retention features including the GLS (Grip Locking System) and the ALS (Automatic Locking System).

Safariland’s retention technologies are ideal for those who want an extra measure of security in their concealed carry holsters. The GLS, or Grip Locking System, features an ergonomically placed lever on the bottom of the holster that is released by the middle finger as the user takes a firing grip on the handgun, resulting in an easy and natural draw.

Upon re-holstering, the gun easily locks into place and is secured. The ALS, or Automatic Locking System, features a lever at the top of the holster, whereby upon the draw the thumb sweeps back the cam lever, releasing the firearm in a standard, straight up draw. Once re-holstering, the audible click lets the user know the gun is secure.

Additionally, Models 578 and 7TS series holsters feature Safariland’s proprietary technology SafariSeven, a nylon blend that is non-abrasive to a firearm’s finish, while maintaining high heat and low cold tolerances of below 50 degrees Fahrenheit and above 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Model 7371 is equipped with a small paddle on the back, making it more compact. All are available in Black with the 578, 7371/7378 also available in tan and the 5198 available in all STX finishes and colors. Available now.
