Hugo, MN-(Ammoland.com)- JP Enterprises is proud to announce pricing and shipping details for their adoption of Federal’s new long-range cartridge, the .224 Valkyrie. In addition to their EnhancedBolt assembly for 6.8 SPC II / .224 Valkyrie, JP will be releasing three new Supermatch barrel contours to support this new caliber:

  • 20” 1:7 light-weight contour
  • 20” 1:7 medium-weight contour
  • 22” 1:7 medium-weight contour

JP is confident that this variety will provide options for hunters and long-range competition shooters excited about the .224 Valkyrie. All three contours feature an XL gas port position for better dwell time and reduction of pressure issues.

As with JP’s other barrels, each of these new Supermatch offerings will be available not only in complete rifles and upper assemblies, but also as component barrels and complete barrel kits (including choice of gas system and muzzle device pre-installed). Both of these component barrel options will also include an individual head-spaced EnhancedBolt assembly for optimum performance.

The 6.8 SPC II/.224 Valkyrie version of the JP EnhancedBolt is compatible with any AR-15 platform using a Mil-spec bolt carrier and 6.8 SPC II or .224 Valkyrie sub-components. This bolt comes assembled with the same JP-designed extractor used on our 6.5 Grendel bolt. Spare/replacement Enhanced Extractors are available.

After many months of quiet collaboration and development with Federal, JP was excited for the .224 Valkyrie’s recent announcement. They expect amazing results as shooters adopt this new cartridge, especially for those shooting a JP-built rifle or home-build.

Extensive JP testing of the .224 throughout 2017 demonstrated that factory 90-grain Sierra MatchKing yielded 2650 fps. out of a 20” barrel with a G1 BC of .531. “This new round is a serious paradigm shift for the AR-15 platform,” said JP founder, John Paul. “In testing, consistent 1000-yard (or more) hits are very achievable.”

Federal Premium’s 224 Valkyrie takes the long-range precision and ballistic performance of the MSR 15 platform to unheard of heights.

Complete rifle and assembly builds will be available in January 2018, and JP is currently accepting orders. Between now and this release, JP is also releasing content across social media to both interest and inform those following Federal’s .224 Valkyrie rollout.
