BOZEMAN, Mont. -( MYSTERY RANCH, an industry-leading backpack company, devoted to making mission-specific products is proud to introduce the all-new MULE to their Wilderness Series of hunting packs.

The MULE provides an incredible unity of carrying power in a relatively small package.

Whether packing in or packing out, the MULE is a versatile load sling for hauling your overnight camp kit or retrieving meat. With a small day pack for carrying essentials, the MULE incorporates MR’s load-hauling OVERLOAD feature integrated with the weight-taming Guide Light Frame.

“This year I carried a MULE on my backcountry hunts, and I was very impressed with its versatility and performance. Whether packed heavy—with extra layers in the main compartment and a 40-liter dry bag full of three days’ camping equipment and food in the overload shelf—or packed light with just a kill kit, water, and rain gear, the MULE always felt like the right tool for the job. With elk quarters in the overload, the MULE felt stable and moved with my body better than anything I’ve ever worn. And out hunting, with almost nothing in it, I liked how I was able to cinch the pack down with the rubberized loops so that I could maintain a low profile and slip quietly through the brush. There’s nothing the MULE can’t do, and there’s no doubt it will be my main workhorse next season, too.” Elliott Woods, MYSTERY RANCH Ambassador.

The pack has been designed primarily for the western mountain hunter but it is also an excellent fit for whitetail hunting when looking to pack in a tree stand along with the gear needed for all day sits during the heart of the rut.

The MULE is a versatile workhorse hybrid for multiple hunting applications. The perfect blend of a day pack with serious meat or gear-hauling capacity.

I don’t have one but i’ll certainly vouch for them. My family owns ~50 pieces of gear made by Dana Gleason in his many incarnations; Kletterworks, MoJo Systems, Quest, Dana Design, and Mystery Ranch. Built bomb-proof, his stuff lasts and is American made. I have one pack still going strong since 1977. My daughter Heli-Rappel fire crew, and most all the wildlands fire crews use Mystery Ranch packs. Some packs may be lighter, none are better built.
