Hypocrites in the media!

A recent photograph of our SECNAV visiting troops in Afghanistan reveals him openly carrying a pistol in a SERPA holster.

This photo brought-on immediate censure from (who else?) CNN correspondent, Barbara Starr.

She twits: “Can someone explain why the head of our Navy is wearing a sidearm?”

Last I heard, Afghanistan is an area of active fighting. Anyone there, with at least two brain-cells to rub together, goes armed. But, gun-hating leftists at CNN, safe, secure (and protected by security guards, wearing sidearms) within their Corporate office, obviously don’t care.

Of course, CNN executives quietly employ a veritable army of armed security guards to protect them (about which they never talk), but they are “far too pure” to ever touch a gun themselves!

And, anyone who does touch a gun can never be quite as “pure” as they are, which is one of the ways in which they smugly espouse their “moral superiority” over us mere mortals.

These sheltered, self-righteous, amoral, leftist propagandists, masquerading as “journalists,” made me sick, and they ought to make all Americans sick!

    1. She’d rather have him defenseless & killed in an attack than offend her delicate sensibilities by wearing a sidearm. The media is so smug, self-righteous, & believe themselves to be infallible. Here’s hoping she finds herself in the aforementioned predicament.

    2. when i did my two tours in Vietnam as a Combat Marine at times there was some so called Journalist sniffing around and like i told one one time, i don’t go take a crap without having my Rifle with me, should a saw the look on the IDIOTS FACE LOL.
those SCUMBAGS ARE ALWAYS OFFENDED OVER SOME NONSENSE FROM REALITY.

    3. People who are programmed do not know it. Frontal lobotomy incapacitates reason.

Unfortunately the populace has been programmed by the burying of history sanctifying Lincoln as a saint when he had no patience himself to instigate a war secretly when Congress was out of session invading both Florida and SC. Lincoln denied a peace Conference desired by the seceded southern states. Lincoln also had 10,000 citizens become “subjects” arrested without habeus corpus and a Ohio Senator kidnapped and extradited. His centralization paved the way for the second amendment crisis in which we now find ourselves. Read John Tilley’s “Lincoln Takes Command.” Well documented with period sources.

      1. He also used the Army to destroy the printing presses of opposition newspapers, instituted a draft (involuntary servitude), and instituted an income tax, which was not constitutional at that time.

    4. If you scroll through her comments, she brings it up again about him wearing a gun when the Afghans he met with didn’t. Well, don’t think that they don’t have some concealed here and there.
This “reporter” is an idiot to the extreme, and is so brainwashed that she can’t see straight. A measley handgun in a war theater is nothing. But in her world, it represents evil.

      1. Had to take a second look and you are correct. One man standing in the background has a side arm and the butt of three ARs are showing among those seated. Hoorah!

    5. What I find SHOCKING is that we ONLY see ONE sailor armed. In a setting such as that, anyone and everyone there should be armed and ready.

Anyone else remember Fort Hood one and two?
I hope this “reporter” is shunned henceforth, and banished from entering ANY military installation, permanent or temporary.

      1. The good Lord helps those that help themselves. I’ve herd of stubbed reporters but that one takes ever cake in Texas. She is a Libural Democrat asshole. What is it her business anyway?just don’t walk near her with a hard on. You will be accused of reporter molestation. In short looking at a bitch.

    6. In or out of uniform, I don’t enter a combat zone without a means to defend myself as a member not of the press. Why the hell would he? Weirdo reporters. This is the funniest article I’ve read today.

    7. Nothing surprises me concerning the Cannabis News Network. Imagine, carrying a firearm in a war zone by someone in the military. SHOCKING. The morons at CNN prove that you can’t fix stupid.

    8. A better question would be “Why isn’t everyone armed?” or “Why is only one person armed?”
But then who expects CNN to ask realistic questions?

      1. If you look behind them you will see their AR proped against the seats. They are armed. I can count at least 5/weapons.

    9. Oh so typically ignorant, and truly evident how uninformed these myopic, cookie-cutter clowns in the medIa are. They make me want to puke, an increasing tendency brought on by the level of stupidity these people display.

    10. Anyone working in a hostile zone should be armed for self protection, they don’t call it hazardous duty for no reason.

      1. Yes you can. Send the dumba$$ over there without her guards. Let her interview the locals by herself. It should be amusing. I hear they enjoy female American reporters. It’s a party.

      2. The good Lord helps those that help themselves. I’ve herd of stubbed reporters but that one takes ever cake in Texas. She is a Libural Democrat asshole. 11. Maybe the real shocker would be how many U.S. personnel “over there” are required to go unarmed while in camp. How many armed people do you see in the picture? It just might be time to change the law and at least allow if not require all personnel with demonstrated capability to go armed. Could that be what is meant by “armed forces?”

    12. Please visit CNN in Atlanta. Securtiy is everywhere.
Let’s see if CNN would go a day without armed gaurds, undercover gaurds, metal detectors, cameras everywhere…
how about making CNN a gun free zone…including no gaurds…no weapons, no check points upon entry, no more ID badges…
watch the loons run for cover……

    13. The beginning of the ’91 gulf wars’ landing of Marines was enacted under cover of darkness. As the Marines advanced up the beach they were illuminated by a spotlight held by a CNN reporter to allow cameras to get photos in the darkness. What should have been a discrete operation to land the initial wave of Marines on the beach, was spread for the world to see via a CNN camera crew spotlighting the Marine landing. The Marines did their job securing the beachhead while ignoring the CNN film crew. If I had been a Marine trying to secure a landing area under the cover of darkness, the CNN reporter’s spotlight would have been target number one. The reporter holding the light would have been target number two. This may have been reversed depending on how pissed I was at CNN at the time. The Marines showed great restraint to not take action against CNN for blowing their cover and preserve the right of “freedom of the press”. If all reporters had to spend some time as active military in a war zone, they would understand why SecNav was armed.

      1. I should think that ‘freedom of the press’ would include having the freedom to get shot in a combat zone. Send them out there alone, with no-one armed, and watch them sing like a kindergarten class about no-one there to protect them.
        Karma’s a biotch…..

      2. The landing force should have taken out those lights, I remember that stupid move. The troops should have opened fire on them and extinguished those lights.

    14. These CNN reporters should be institutionalized, they are to stupid to be walking our streets!! I have never watched a CNN report, that someone did not say something stupid! I just can not stomach even watching a few minutes of CNN any longer!

    15. No mention of the armed detail protecting her and everyone there. Now CNN is using ‘Selective Reporting’ to generate more ‘Fake News’.

    16. What is the world coming to? OMG, an American civilian carrying a gun, especially in a country that is hostile to our presence, could allow for self-defense from homicidal maniacs. I guess CNN wants him to be a victims so they can cover the story.

    17. It must have been terribly traumatic for a “journalist” to see a member of our military armed in a war zone. He should have been carrying flowers and a box of candy.
