California – -(Ammoland.com)- That’s right – if you think things couldn’t get any worse in California, Los Angeles Assemblyman Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) just introduced a bill that would outlaw any organization from raffling firearms.
AB 3199 would prohibit an authorized raffle conducted by eligible organizations (which Gun Owners of California and many like-minded groups are) from offering a firearm as a “prize.”
This is clearly a case where Democrats are doing everything they can to defund – and to eliminate organized opposition to their anti-gun policies.
Regardless of their intent, this will have no bearing whatsoever on crime in California. It is a punitive measure aimed directly at the thousands upon thousands of grassroots individuals who are members of organizations dedicated to the protection of the 2nd Amendment, hunting, firearms safety and training.
For years, Gun Owners of California has conducted fundraising raffles – which are duly registered with the Department of Justice – without incident.

Strange, but I had thought that the ballot, voting in elections held in this country was, for some reason, restricted to citizens of this country. I guess that California, among some other locales is one of those “special cases” one hears about. If I may make so bold, how come this seeming anomaly?
I’ll try again since my original post hasn’t been posted: The California system is corrupt. The democrats ensure re-election by doling out entitlements. They expand their voter base with more and more benefits/entitlements for illegal aliens. Their oath of office means NOTHING! This allows them to continue to undermine basic freedoms. Activists Justices on the California Supreme Court and the 9th Circuit Court of appeals are just as complicit. When a court decision favors pro 2A, they call for a redo (en banc). Wouldn’t that be an attack on their 1st Amendment???? I spoke with a person the other day who said I shouldn’t want to have a gun, I replied by telling him he should go buy a gun that day. He replied , “No I won’t.” then I asked what gives you the right of choice but I am not entitled to my opinion or choice ? Oh, I was a former LEO and took an Oath.

What needs to happen is that ALL Gun makers And ALL gun related products companies need to refuse to sell any of their products to ANYONE in California.
I would advise all Kalifornia gun owners to exit that state with their arms while they still can. There is no chance to overturn these draconian measures. The ball is rolling downhill and will nt stop until it smashes the gun owners. Meanwhile criminals are let go by Kalifornia’s idiot officials.It is your own fault for keeping these goons in office.
