Only Days Left For Boulder, CO Residents To Register Their Firearms
As part of this ban, residents who owned any of the prohibited firearms prior to the day the ban went into law (June 15th, 2018) can participate in the city’s “This-Is-Not-A-Registry” program and grandfather their guns with a certification. The last day to certify a firearm is supposed to be December 31st, 2018, but Boulder Police have stated that due to the holidays, the last day will actually be December 27th. The complete ban will officially take effect on January 1, 2019, at which point possession of a banned weapon without a certificate will be punishable by 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine, and firearms will be confiscated and destroyed.

Make billboards teaching about the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution (Article 6 ). Do not comply with these illegal, unconstitutional laws that no one has a duty to enforce or obey. My donation is going out today too. I also want to remind you all that being armed is not enough. The average firefight consumes 500 rounds of ammunition. Stock up.
This is appalling. They’re breaking federal and State laws for no appreciable reason. It cannot be allowed to continue. I sent my money, even though I live in a different state. These folks need our help and continued help of the NRA and hopefully the SAF will get involved as well.

So, what happens if i am passing through boulder and have a weapon that is required to be registered?
I fear this. I am in a progressive island in AZ. On the council’s agenda now is raising tobacco purchase age to 21. Registration of firearms may not be far behind.
On the billboards, I would think maybe take off the silhouette of the firearms. I think that is what people may remember, not the message.
