Opinon. MAJOR Gun Control Bills Move To House Floor For A Vote.
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112 are moving to the House of Representatives floor for a vote this week!!! A 3rd, yet very dangerous bill, could also rear its ugly head this week as well: H.R. 1263.
H.R. 8, known as the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, seeks to, amongst other things, to criminalize private sales of firearms. The bill was sponsored by Representative Michael Thompson (D-CA) and has 232 co-sponsors. This bill has been moving through the House of Representatives very rapidly since it was introduced on January 8, 2019. From the bill: “The purpose of this Act is to utilize the current background checks process in the United States to ensure individuals prohibited from gun possession are not able to obtain firearms.” https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/8/text

H.R. 1112, known as the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2019, seeks to remove the 3-day safety net regarding delayed NICS Checks and reinstitute a system that could very easily delay and prevent gun sales. This bill was sponsored by Representative James Clyburn (D-SC) and was only submitted on February 8, 2019. You have to wonder WHY this bill is already going to the floor for a full vote only 17 days after it was submitted… From the bill: “
Section 922(t)(1)(B)(ii) of title 18, United States Code is amended—
(1) in paragraph (1)(B), by striking clause (ii) and inserting the following:
“(ii) in the event the system has not notified the licensee that the receipt of a firearm by such other person would violate subsection (g) or (n) of this section—
“(I) not fewer than 10 business days (meaning a day on which State offices are open) has elapsed since the licensee contacted the system, and the system has not notified the licensee that the receipt of a firearm by such other person would violate subsection (g) or (n) of this section, and the other person has submitted, electronically through a website established by the Attorney General or by first-class mail, a petition for review which“ https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1112/text?r=25&s=1

H.R. 1263 seeks to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act any semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine. In short, this bill looks to add ARs, AKs, Precision Rifles, and ANY semi-automatic rifle that is CAPABLE of accepting a detachable magazine to the National Firearms Act, aka NFA. That’s right, $200 Tax Stamp and all. This bill was sponsored by Representative Theodore Deutch (D-FL) and was introduced, along with dozens of other anti-gun bills nationwide, on February 14, 2019, the one-year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1263/text?r=13&s=1

congress t**ts: don’t even think about it
YOU (Government of ANY level in ANY state) TRY to take away OUR guns? WE, The People IMMEDIATELY introduce YOU (Government) to the true and REAL action of the 2nd Amendment. Easy Peasy.
Is there anyone else who just does not give a darn about what they do. Who cares, live your life, disregard, ignore. I just do not care what these people do anymore. Just loading magazines and waiting………..
As per our Constitution and Bill of Rights there should be NO gun control Bills. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
I almost hate to admit it but I do belong too the NRA,and so far in the past 5yrs. all I’ve gotten is monthly letters saying send more money but I have been looking and I’ve not seen even 1 lawsuit against any organization or person that’s trying to take away our 2nd admendment right.so where has that money gone? End of story
Everyone saw this coming! It’s should be no surprise that with only a few months into the 2019 legislative session that the Democrats (Communists) are taking advantage of their majority in the House, as well as the spineless Republicans. It’s was a little over 2 years that the Republicans had a majority in both Houses and the White House. Did they do anything they promised to ensure the survival of the 2nd Amendment? Answer is a resounding NO! Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell made any pro gun bill die on the vine. Yet with just a short time that the… Read more »
If I read it correctly, HR-8, has a $100,000,000 grant to dole out to help the law enforcement/parties doing the NICS/background checks. I tried to make sense of it, but I think it says that you can only privately/transfer a gun between relatives, if they are legally allowed to own and use one? I went back to read the bill again, but it appears to have been taken down. If they are adding extended waiting periods due to investigative holds, etc… It seems peculiar that they’re able to amend, write, rewrite, and pass this type of legislation in less time… Read more »
The democrats are hitting us hard and fast. A little power is going to their heads and maybe Soros will give them each a pat on the head as they bend to kiss his feet. Like obumer said, they are going to transform this country and when they get done there will be nothing left. It takes a sick mind to be a liberal POS.
It is all about people control, not gun control. The legislators who wright, the judges who go along with and the enforcement people who would enforce treasonous laws are in fact treasonous themselves. There is a penalty for treason. Those people don’t look at us as citizens, they look at us as subjects. They themselves consider themselves above reproach and above the law. This is proven many times over in just the past13 years. They walk around with armed security but tell the rest of us we have no right to self defense. Socialists, communists, islamist, democrats all nothing but… Read more »
