Progressive Socialism: That Dog Don’t Hunt

Texas –  -(AmmoLand.com)- “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” — Thomas Jefferson, writer of the American Declaration of Independence, Founder of the University of Virginia, and 3d President of these United States of America.

Okay, we have suffered and labored through another round of Democrat (socialist) Party presidential debates. I am so worn down that I may actually eat a “meatless” burger. Isn’t that somewhat oxymoronic, a meatless burger? I think it should be called a “plant-based patty.”

See, down South, we have a saying, “that dog don’t hunt.” For me — and perhaps some of y’all — eating a plant-based patty, or embracing progressive socialism, should receive that simple southern euphemism . . . “that dog don’t hunt.”

We are living in a time with folks advocating that some amalgamation of stuff is supposed to be a substitute for a nice juicy meat burger, topped off with cheese and whatever else one desires. As well, there are equally delusional folks trying to get us to believe that the failed philosophy of socialism is a viable substitute for liberty, freedom, individual rights, free-market economics, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.

Once again, we were treated to another episode of debate moderators who are jaded and unwilling to challenge or confront these candidates about their absurd policy assertions. Sen. Kamala Harris’ Climate Equality Act? Really?

Let me ask a simple question: how has it worked out for Venezuela? Ya know, their decision to substitute a free-market, capitalist economic system with a socialist economic model? Heck, there ain’t no dogs hunting in Venezuela because starving people are eating them. A different kind of burger? What is so doggone hard for people to get through their heads when they listen to these frauds ramble on about wealth redistribution here in America?

I am sick of hearing these leftists talk about how President Trump is a threat to democracy. Thomas Jefferson, far more intelligent and competent than all 20 Democrat (socialist) presidential candidates in the debates combined, clearly told us what would cause democracy to cease. And, even before that, there was Scottish political philosopher, Alexander Fraser Tytler who articulated the same.

Tytler stated:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”

Simple question: what part of this is misunderstood? If there is one lesson, one quote that we should be sharing all over the internet, everywhere, billboards, it is Tytler’s quote. Why don’t progressive socialists get this? Well, it is easy, they are stuck on stupid.

This explanation is what John Delaney was trying to get through the thick skulls of leftists when he went after Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Think about it, Bernie Sanders had to reduce staff hours so he could pay a $15 minimum wage. This explanation by Tytler goes to the heart of the folly of universal basic income and these other insidious fiscal schemes developed by simple minds, and embraced by mindless lemmings, aka “useful idiots.”

We are well into Tytler’s cycle. I would say we are at the phase of abundance to selfishness to apathy. Our lack of care and concern has led us to the point where we are being manipulated by a propagandized media and incompetent politicians. Our once esteemed system of education has been replaced by a system of indoctrination where young people are not being taught to be critical thinkers, but just collective drones.

What these leftist presidential candidates are promoting is nothing more than the last two phases on Tytler’s cycle: dependence and bondage. What they want to bring forth is not economic empowerment, but rather economic servitude and enslavement. Who the heck wants that?

Like I said, who the heck wants a “meatless” burger? Progressive socialism is like that meatless burger: that dog don’t hunt.

thought that quote was from torqueville. there is nothing progressive about socialism, it is regressive. the masses are dirt poor without the basic necessities of life and only the rich and powerful, which will be few in number, will have all they need. look outside of America or for that matter at any city or state controlled by leftists/democrats to see how that would look. high taxes and crime, poverty, uneducated, rats and disease. not where I would want to live.

There has only been 1 successful Demo – cracy in history, or in plain english a people – power political order. Athens was a fiercely, merciless, militant empire. It was a Majoritarian Order – that served the Majoritarian Will – in pursuit of raw Majoritarian Power. The only way by which the Athenian Democracy survived and thrived is when ALL the citizens and factions that comprised it, benefited fully from the plunder of the vanquished. And there was a lot of plunder. The Persian empire spanned 2.9 million square miles and approximately 44% of the global population, who after 50… Read more »

All forms of human government tend towards tyranny over time, because of fallible human nature. As an example of never underestimating your opponents, even those whacky “anarchists” have some truth on their side, easily found by doing a search on what “democide” means. The Anarchist’s “solution” of _no government at all_ is not a workable answer either, but they are at least right in grasping that all forms of human government are exceedingly dangerous. Countless times throughout all of known history, every time too much power was concentrated into too few hands, things ended up going very badly for humanity… Read more »

The Democrat Socialists are hoping that Tytler’s cycle hold true. The Democrat Socialists are hoping that we are at the apathy stage. The Democtat Socialists think that they will be the HMWIC during the dependence and bondage centuries.

They are too weak and too inferior in all respects to rule anything. They are spectacularly capable in destroying worlds, but are incapable of creating them. Should their revolution ever transpire, they are all at the top of list in their 10’s of millions destined for the grave yards of history. They lust, for what they ought not.

The ignorance of this bunch of democrat hopefuls is unbelievable. The mayor of NYC is so stupid he stood there and told everybody he was going to tax the hell out of the wealthy. Jump over socialism and go right to communism. Bernie and the fake indian trying to sell medical coverage for all, socialism. They actually are advertising doing away with capitalism and going full steam into taking away from those who have to give to those that won’t work. I’ll be damned if I will give my hard earned money or property to some worthless jerk that smokes… Read more »

Allen West, one of my favorites.
The circus of the left isn’t interested in the truth about what they are pursuing, they want to get rich at the expense of those who worked for what they got. The left never thinks about consequences, those are for everybody else. Socialism/ communism is nothing more than a lie and is like fly paper to liars.

Actually they are ideologues first and foremost. Its the insane dream of all socialists since the Paris saloons of pre-revolutionary France, where the worlds first communists were born. The vast majority of them are exterminated in the early dawn of their brave new world, and from that hell on earth hard, brutal despots emerge who believe in nothing but power. Its they who hoard all the wealth. Stalin’s henchmen called him the “Boss.” He was the ultimate, robber baron capitalist. He just believed only he and nobody else could play the game. And if someone tried they conveniently got shipped… Read more »
