Fancy masks have always been expensive. Generally the fancier/more effective the higher the price. It may not be fun, but it makes sense.
That’s why, when this mess started, I put out the how-to on making your own masks. You can still improve the masks that people are selling, that are made out of pretty cloth with a pocket inside, by putting that filter material inside the pocket. Make sure that they seal all the way around your face and nose.
