UK Paper and U.S. Prohibitionists Stage Meltdown Over Massie Christmas Card

And Merry Christmas back at you, Congressman. Don’t let posturing gun-grabbers and their useful idiot cult followers get you down. (Thomas Massie/Twitter)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)-Massie’s gun collection: ‘They shouldn’t be in the hands of civilians’,” The Guardian hyperventilates in a fit of herd-spooking handwringing. “Analysis: furore [Brit spelling, henceforth designated with “BS”]continues over ‘Christmas card’ by US Congressman of group holding military weapons.”

“It is the Christmas card that has sent shockwaves across the world – and provided a chilling reminder of the size and type of weapons that are perfectly legal to own and carry in large parts of the US,” Defence [BS] and Security Editor Dan Sabbagh elaborates. “An analysis … indicates the guns in the photograph published by the Republican congressman Thomas Massie are military-grade and – in some cases – similar to those used in recent notorious deadly incidents.”

You have to wonder what the defense and security experience of someone so alarmed over a photo Americans who actually know about guns have no problem thinking is pretty cool, and the answer is he’s only written about it. Ever since 1775, “colonists” being armed never did go over all that well with some royal subjects, did it?

Then again, the only “shockwaves” and “furore” [BS] are being manufactured by those whose goal is to control all arms for their own ends, and howled at and amplified by indignant useful idiots sharing their agenda along with no small amount of actual hoplophobes, that is, people with responsibility-crippling emotional disabilities who prefer the illusion of feeling safe to actually being that way.

“The calibre [BS] and range of the weapons on display horrified one expert. Philip Ingram, a former British military intelligence officer, told the Guardian: ‘There is no way in a modern society these weapons should be in hands outside law enforcement or the military … They are designed for one purpose: to kill people,’” the breathless rant masking itself as news continues.

That’s kinda the point, Phil, and it’s interesting you favor government exercising that one purpose. We have a Second Amendment that resulted in no small part from you lot coming after our arms. As founder Tench Coxe noted:

“Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American…. [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

Sabbagh then makes a point of telling the readers “An AR-15 was taken by Kyle Rittenhouse on his notorious trip to Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year, which saw him kill two people and injure a third as he roamed the streets acting as a self-described militia…”

It’s a good thing for him that he did. After the build-up, you can almost feel the disappointment when Sabbagh has to admit Rittenhouse was found not guilty, so he follows that up with a non-sequitur that “Giffords Law Center, which campaigns against gun violence, said official US figures showed that 726,951 machine guns remain listed as in legal circulation.”

After introducing it that way, you’d think he’d have some statistics on how many of those machineguns have been used in crimes, but failing that, he instead brings up another non sequitur about the [alleged!] creepy little reptile from Michigan and that after that it is somehow “insensitive” to be armed and not ashamed.

Using that rationale, with what goes on every day in Democrat cities, we’d never be able to come out of the gun safe.

The insensitivity indictment should properly go to serial gun-grabber and, naturally, Kentucky Democrat John Yarmuth, a wannabe Tory colonist still siding with the Brits whose district includes most of the Louisville metro area. That’s the place recently identified as one of the top 12 cities in the U.S. hitting “all-time homicide records.”

“I promise not everyone in Kentucky is an insensitive ***hole,” he quipped, no doubt considering himself witty instead of just an obnoxious, blood-dancing political opportunist. What gun owners who don’t have a problem with Massie’s card need to keep in mind is that Yarmuth includes them in his assessment, and that, as usual, “progressives” project what they are guilty of being onto those they hate.

So no, there can be no peace. They won’t allow it.

A few years back I wrote an article that recounted a drive from World War II that asked readers today “Would you send a gun to defend a British home?” Since the once-great empire now seems determined to commit cultural suicide and impose that miserable state on the rest of us, you can be forgiven for thinking you’re probably going to end up needing everything you can get your hands on for yourself.

Besides, a current headline seems indicative of a more general state of degradation when it comes to subjects of her Majesty and “weapons of war”:

“Bomb squad called to ER after a patient turned up with a WWII artillery shell lodged in his rectum, police say”

I’d hesitate to think what they’d do with more options. On the plus side, the bloke seems to have a lot in common with John Yarmouth, and with all the violence monopolists who have come out of the woodwork on Massie’s Twitter post. But there is one comment there I do think deserves a reply:

“As an European, Can you tell me why you are all so happy with your guns ?”

Actually, my answer is more of a question

As Revolutionist Coxe noted and meant in his statement ..the “militia ” is The People …we are the militia …definitions are important …and “regulators ” back then were “supply officers ” so a “well regulated militia ” meant a population that was supplied well with arms that they could “keep and bear ” …That is the Constitution .

Deplorable Bill

First, Christmas is a birthday party for the last perfect man to walk the earth. I do love the card. I think the days are coming SOON when we will NEED to have equipment, military grade equipment. There are a lot of tyrannical, treasonous people in Washington; the legislator, the presidency, judges, lawyers and enforcement. That IS at least part of the reasoning the second amendment was written into law. Our founding fathers had seen for themselves, for decades, the absolute tyranny that king George and the British parliament had on us, the colonies. Best I can tell, I qualified… Read more »

That is why those in England are called subjects. We The People are citizens.

That is a nice piece of writing Mr. Codrea. Most interesting and informative.
Merry Christmas.

“They are designed for one purpose: to kill people,”

Suppose for the sake of argument that what you say is true, that the sole purpose of an AR15 style rifle is to kill people.

Given that in not one jurisdiction in the USA is it the mission of law enforcement “to kill people”, why do we let them carry AR15s?

Further…..

“indicates the guns in the photograph published by the Republican congressman Thomas Massie are military-grade”

Which of the world’s military organizations commonly issue AR15s to their troops?

‘There is no way in a modern society these weapons should be in hands outside law enforcement or the military … They are designed for one purpose: to kill people,’” Well, we have certainly repeatedly seen how effective those killing machines work in the hands of state police and governments. How did that work out for pre-WWII Jews under Hitler? Millions of Chinese under Mao? Millions of Russians under Stalin and Lenin??? That worked so well, let’s do it again. I think, NOT!!! History….learn from it, be doomed to re-live it, or die from it.

Most of the British loyalists fled to Canada after the Revolutionary
War to avoid having their necks stretched. This is one reason why Canada is a poor neighbor and should be avoided.

I’ve been saying this for several years now; If you want to “trigger” leftists, simply send Christmas cards with your family all holding “black rifles”. Double points for photos showing flawless (and ACTUAL) gun safety!
Lefties will call you every name in the book because nothing else sends them into a complete tailspin as this! Good for 101 ROFLs!
