I have a pair of Rock Island 22TCM high-cap pistols, one Commander size and one full-size. The larger one I bought in tactical configuration – it has a full-length dust cover rail and Novak rear sight. I converted both guns to Tru-Glo sights. The magazines are not interchangeable due to one having a magwell, but the mags are made by Mec-Gar and I understand that for the Commander size gun they are the same as one of the Para mags (P-08?), but with modified feed lips for the TCM cartridge. Both guns shoot 9mm like they were made for them… Read more »
I am a die stac 111 fan since the first Para Ord. Gunsmith kit frame was feted in the last 80’s, ad currently owns a no
longer available Springfield Armory double stack 1911 and two RIA double stack 1911’s.
But, with this new Remington offering I will wait awhile to see if it turns out to be another turd from Remington.
You all remember the R51, don’t you ?
I own a Para 15/45 and have had warranty issues that Para handled painlessly. Will Remington honor the Para warranty or am I sxxx out of luck?
As a happy long-time owner of a Para 14.45, I’m glad to see that pistol re-incarnated as a Remington
Maybe the Warthog will be next!

Modern pistols almost always have double stack mags and hold twice the ammo of an antique style 1911. In the 1980’s ParaUSA began building double stack 1911’s that literally doubled the magazine capacity of the 1911 to that of any other modern pistol on the market today. Around 2015 Remington bought ParaUSA and moved them to their new production facility. It has taken a few years,… Read more »
