OpenCarry.org Applauds Starbucks’ Policy to Serve all Lawful Gun Owners
Free Market Ensures Gun Owners Will Get Served.
Bristol, VA --(AmmoLand.com)- OpenCarry.org applauds Starbuck’s policy to serve all lawful gun carriers world wide. It is refreshing to see yet one more company not requiring law abiding gun owners to go to the back of the bus.
“Importantly,” says John Pierce, co-founder of OpenCarry.org, “Starbucks joins most American corporations in deciding not to discriminate against lawful gun carriers.”
For example, North American computer retailer giant Best Buy Inc.’s policy is also to “not restrict our customers who are legally entitled to carry a firearm.”

OpenCarry.org urges all gun owners to patronize Starbucks worldwide and thank them for supporting the Second Amendment.

There are other retailers that allow lawful carry per state law; Home Depot, Lowes, Fred Meyer/Kroger, Safeway, Toys R Us, Barnes and Noble, Walmart. I’m glad to see Starbucks on board.
Don’t be naive. Starbucks does not support gun rights. They are, for the moment, refraining from taking a position to see how this issue develops. Their present position on this is that they have no position and are deferring to applicable federal, state and local laws.
Starbucks is pro Starbucks and will adopt an anti-gun policy in a second if the progressives prevail in their campaign.
Actually, I was told to leave a Walmart store for openly carrying a pistol in Michigan. I complained to the national corporate offices and was told that managers may decide how/ if firearms will be allowed… state laws notwithstanding. So, to say that Walmart is “pro 2A” is just plain wrong. Remember, too, that Walmart has very close corporate ties to Mayors Against Illegal Guns.. further showing Walmart’s “true colors”.

Depending on where you live, your mileage may vary with Walmart…. I have talked with the Marketing Office, the regional manager of my area as well as the Security Chief, lawful carry is welcome in Western Washington.
Thank you Starbucks! The only bullying and intimidation are coming from the Brady Campaign and elitists attempting to disarm the public.
I just posted a letter to Starbucks Corporate. I would encourage everyone else to do the same to let them know we are in support of them and not to cave in to the petitions and other nonsense.

================================
I read recently that Starbucks is in support of the American citizen’s right to bear arms given to us in the 2nd Amendment. I would like to thank you for recognizing this freedom written into our Constitution despite massive efforts to repeal it on the state level, and I will continue to wholeheartedly patronize your stores as I travel the country. I now have one more thing to brag about you guys!
I do want to encourage you, as I know there is great opposition to your stance on this in addition to a petition aimed directly at you to try to change your position. Please do not cave into political correctness. As you deal with coffee producers in many nations I know you can recognize that any and all nations that have put oppressive gun laws into effect it has led to the social and economic downfalls, and in some cases, ruin, of those countries. They will not stop at the 2nd Amendment… it will lead to the destruction of the first as well.
Be well…

Technically, Starbucks has no policy on firearms carry, that is, they claim they only follow the laws of the state. Since when did a petition with up to 25,000 signatures on it, and threat of boycott determine business decisions? My solution to the problem was to order a few extra coffees from Starbucks.
The Brady bunch and other hoplophobic groups and those who “simply do not like guns” should wake up and smell the coffee. It just won’t be at Starbucks.
My sense is the carry open response is, at least in part, not only demonstration and exercise of a legal, natural, individual, fundamental (legal sense) right, it is the direct result of frontal and back-door assaults on the second amendment. Individuals, groups and various businesses can no longer hide behind the fact that they “fully support 2nd amendment rights”, but rather have to show it in the way they support legislation and conduct business.
Despite the “elephant in the room” (NRA), this organization is just the tip of the iceberg on gun rights in our republic.
All of this hoopla about the Dems taking away gun rights makes me laugh. All of you rights nuts are paranoid about this issue. But, I guess you need something to complain about, Oh wait, since we have an African American Dem president, you guys do nothing BUT complain.
It is apparent that you really don’t want to address any of the issues that need to be addressed and are nothing more than a road block to recovery.
Just look at what happened during the Bush Admin. $1.2 Trillion deficit, housing collapse, financial collapse, all passed on to the Obama Admin. Now you bag on him for not solving all of the issues that the Bumbling Bush Admin hand over to him in the first year. What a bunch of LOSERS!
As previously stated, Starbucks is not supporting the “right to bear arms”, they are simply recognising that the law ,at the moment ,”allows” it. Keep in mind those laws can be changed by the corrupt ,lying S.O.B. politicians that we have elected to represent us. Don’t forget that… when the time comes to exercise that right!!
As for me ..I will quote a REAL AMERICAN PATRIOT, Charlton Heston, “They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead fingers”!!! GOD Bless America.. may he save us all.
Curtis41, LOOK IN THE MIRROR! It’s obvious that YOU are the LOSER!
I’m almost speechless, but not quite. Starbucks is allowing people to carry firearm into their stores, what next? Perhaps the people who are so vehement about the right to bear arms should ACTUALLY READ the 2nd Amendment. “A well regulated MILITIA, being necessary to the secutiry of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” I don’t believe this says that people can bear arms in shops, restaurants, or on the street. Since when are we threatened in Starbucks? If someone takes the table near the window, that you have been eyeing. I know!!! Shoot them. Are we going crazy as a society? Only law enforcement should carry firearms, otherwise they are in jeopardy every day
Because Cops are the “Only Ones” responsible enough to carry arms..give me a break.
You better go back to school on your Bill Of Rights knowledge, since everything on it is about the rights of individuals, and you mean to tell me that this amendment is for some thing other than individual rights, I do not think so.
Very soon the SCOTUS will hand down a verdict answering this very question deciding once and for all that this is a right of individuals.
