Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- On Tuesday, June 14, the public safety committees of the Senate and Assembly pushed multiple politically motivated anti-gun bills.

Anti-gun advocates are using the recent tragedies in efforts to restrict the Second Amendment and self-defense in California. The resulting bills are misguided and do nothing to address crime. Rather, they are designed only to restrict the rights of lawful and responsible gun owners.

Unfortunately, both the Senate and Assembly public safety committees passed the wrongheaded anti-gun legislation. The bills now will be considered by the Senate and Assembly appropriations committees.

You can find out more on the Public Safety hearings by reading Patrick McGreevy’s article, Tempers flare as lawmakers move forward with a dozen gun-control bills in wake of Orlando shooting, posted yesterday to latimes.com.

The NRA would like to thank the California legislators who stood up for your Second Amendment rights today and ask that they and their colleagues on the appropriations committees carry on the fight.

Not surprising. California has the best government officials that money can buy.

I would implore all of you reading this ALERT to use the links provided and sign the petitions and faxes provided in support of California’s law abiding gun owners. Please forego the usual remarks of “Kommiefornia, Kalifornia” and support your fellow 2nd Amendment California citizens. Remember this, if California can suppress and ban virtually any firearm, ammunition or Constitutional law and the right to defend ourselves from tyranny then you can damn well bet that your state will no longer be safe from the same kinds of legislation. Where California goes, eventually the rest of the nation follows. Please help!… Read more »

I agree, it’s not just a California thing. It will spread. We need to support from all. Stand together.
