Sturm, Ruger & Company – -(AmmoLand.com)- Is proud to announce the introduction of a special limited edition 50th Anniversary New Model Super Blackhawk® revolver. The blued, limited edition .44 Magnum single-action revolver joins the ranks of the 50th Year Ruger .357 and .44 Magnum Commemorative Blackhawk New Model single action revolvers issued in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

The Ruger 50th Anniversary New Model Blackhawk features the strong Ruger single-action cylinder frame with precision click adjustable rear sight, an unfluted cylinder, and checkered wood grips. The alloy steel frame, cylinder with two gold bands, and barrel wear a high gloss blue finish. The 7-1/2″ barrel, with a ramp front sight, also features gold trim lettering “50th Anniversary Super Blackhawk – 2009”.

The 50th Anniversary New Model Super Blackhawk has benefited from 50 years of continuous refinements, including a unique reverse-indexing pawl for easy loading and unloading and Ruger’s patented transfer bar and loading gate mechanisms that give an unprecedented measure of security and convenience. The 48 ounce revolver has an overall length of 13-1/2 inches.

The Ruger 50th Anniversary .44 Magnum New Model Super Blackhawk comes in a special red case with a California-approved external locking device and comprehensive instruction manual. This special 50th commemorative New Model Super Blackhawk will only be produced in limited quantities during 2009.

Do you know how many 50th Anniversary Super Blackhawks were made? I only see that they were produced in limited quantities.
