Exeter, NH –-(AmmoLand.com)- Team SIG Champion Shooter, Max Michel, competed in the prestigious Level IV sanctioned IPSC Pan American Championship on July 6 – 11, 2009 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Max competed with his custom SIG SAUER 1911 and won 20 out of the 24 courses of fire, taking the Gold Medal Overall.

After the competition and before the awards ceremony, International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) has a tradition of taking the top shooters from the event and putting them up against one another in a man-on-man steel shoot-off event. Max worked his way through the ladder of competitors and won the Open Division shoot-off as well.

The IPSC Pan American Championship consists of 24 grueling courses of fire, but Max had competed in Ecuador in 2005 and was physically and mentally ready to meet the challenge. Max took home his first Level IV Championship Gold Medal, while demonstrating the many solid benefits of competing with a SIG SAUER pistol.
