North Haven, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Mossberg Night Train tactical rifle packages have been known for combining tack-driving accuracy with the most-popular, long-range tactical accessories; straight from the factory.

Now these custom-inspired, range-ready packages are built on the latest platform from O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc., the classically-styled Mossberg Patriot bolt-action rifle.

Three Patriot Night Train scoped combos are available, including a 300 Win Mag chambering with a suppressor-ready threaded barrel and removable SilencerCo muzzle brake, and two 308 Win offerings with standard 22-inch barrel or optional threaded barrel/muzzle brake package.

The Patriot bolt-action rifle is based on Mossberg’s proven twin-lug, push-feed machined-steel action matched to a button-rifled, 22-inch fluted barrel. Constructed of carbon steel, these standard contour barrels are free-floating and have a twist rate of 1 in 10 inches to optimize performance.

The standard Night Train 308 Win package features a recessed crown, and on the Night Train 2 (308 Win) and Night Train 3 (300 Win Mag) offerings, the barrels are threaded for use with the included SilencerCo Saker muzzle brake, utilizing the Trifecta quick-detach mounting system. A thread-protector cap is included. Metalwork features a non-reflective, matte blue finish. The classically-styled synthetic stock has a straight comb and raised cheekpiece in choice of black (308 Win only) or OD Green finishes.

The Night Train 2 and Night Train 3 packages include a neoprene, comb-raising kit with interchangeable insert pads for a custom-like fit. The Patriot also features a re-engineered, streamlined bolt handle design with oversized bolt knob for smooth bolt operation, even with gloved hands. Completing the basic rifle package is a lightweight polymer, flush box magazine with 4-round (300 Win Mag) or 5-round (308 Win) total capacity; spiral-fluted bolts; receiver-mounted, Picatinny rails; factory-mounted, variable riflescopes by Leapers with lens caps and sun shade; and dual front and rear sling swivel studs.

At the core of the Mossberg Patriot Night Train accuracy is Mossberg’s patented LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) Adjustable Trigger System. Constructed for the utmost in durability and reliability, the LBA trigger assembly is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and hard-coat anodized to military spec, preventing corrosion and minimizing wear. With its distinctive, skeletonized “lightning bolt” trigger blade, the LBA Trigger System offers a truly crisp, creep-free trigger, optimizing accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency, and is user-adjustable from 2 to 7 lbs.

Available packages include: Patriot Night Train (308 Win) – Leapers 4-16x50mm riflescope with mil-dot reticle and sun shade; bi-pod; classic synthetic black stock; and standard 22-inch barrel. Patriot Night Train 2 (308 Win) and Patriot Night Train 3 (300 Win Mag) – Leapers 6-24x50mm riflescope with illuminated mil-dot reticle and sun shade; bi-pod; 22-inch threaded barrel with SilencerCo Saker muzzle brake and Trifecta QD mounting system; thread cap; and OD Green synthetic stock with neoprene comb-raising kit.

I second the motion, a MAGPUL type stock would significant raise the sales on the night train models. Hey Mossberg listen to us. We are buying your product give us something to build on it. You are way behind hort. Start offering adjustable stocks. I have short reach and am a disabled veteran. I need some help. I should not have to go to after market products or speed a fortune on gunsmithing

My brother and I purchased the night train 3. 300 a few days ago, Very nice gun down to the stock, I shot mine today and shot great for 6 rounds at 100 yards 2/3 in groups, then went to 10in groups ! come to find out the inner stock started cracking, the barrel blocking is poorly made, I’m hoping mossberg makes good on it. Will see how my brothers dose tomorrow.

I’m with these other guys in eagerly awaiting one of these rifles. Hopefully they release with enough time to figure out my loads before the general rifle season opens here. I think that 300 wm is about perfect for my needs.

I am very interested in purchasing a “Patriot Night Train Combo” chambered in a 300 Win Mag with a 22 in. threaded fluted barrel. I would appreciate directions as to how to go about such a purchase and the cost of one of these rifles.
