Germantown, WI – -(Ammoland.com)- Criterion Barrels is well known as a supplier of DPMS pattern .308 AR barrels for a wide variety of premium rifle manufacturers.

Recognizing the demand generated by individual rifle builders for a premium hand lapped match grade barrel, Criterion has added a full range of mid-weight Hybrid contour .308 AR barrels to their stock model inventory.

While many of these designs are available in a traditional stainless steel finish, Criterion has sought to extend barrel service life and improve corrosion resistance by offering models in a chrome lined and salt bath nitride finish. Designed to accommodate a wide spectrum of rifle build configurations, barrels range in length from 16 to 22 inches.

Most of the new models feature a M118 LR chamber, a design specifically engineered to offer sub-MOA performance with 168 and 175 grain match ammunition.

The M118 LR chamber retains the capability to accept both .308 Win and 7.62×51 NATO cartridges. Select models are also available chambered for the popular 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge.
