USA –-(Ammoland.com)- So you want to create a gun-free America in 5 easy steps? Here’s all there is to it:
Step 1: Elect. For a gun-free America, the first thing you’ll need is two-thirds of Congress. So elect a minimum of 67 Senators and 290 Representatives who are on your side.
Step 2: Propose. Then, have them vote to propose an amendment to the Constitution which repeals Second Amendment gun rights for all Americans.
Step 3: Ratify. Then convince the legislators of 38 states to ratify that change.
At this point, the Second Amendment is history, but you’ve done nothing to decrease gun violence. All you’ve done is remove the barrier for Congress to act.
Step 4: Legislate. You need to enact “common sense” reform.
You can try to do what Australia did and…ban all guns? That’s not at all what they did, but whatever, fuck it. Go big or go home, right?
It will have to be passed by Congress and signed by the president.
Great! The law is passed and guns are now illegal. The only thing left to do is…
Step 5: Enforce. Guns won’t just disappear because you passed a law. You need to confiscate some 350 million guns scattered among 330 Million Americans.
Sure, you can try a buy-back program like Australia, but like Australia that will still leave behind anywhere from 60 percent to 80 percent of privately owned firearms.

The rest you have to take.
You’ll need the police, the FBI, the ATF or the National Guard—all known for their nuanced approach to potentially dangerous situations—to go door-to-door, through 3.8 million square miles of this country and take guns, by force, from thousands, if not, millions of well-armed individuals. Many of whom would rather start a civil war than acquiesce.
So inevitably gun violence, which is currently at a historic low, will skyrocket.
But that is how you get a gun-free America in five easy steps.

OK, let me say that I do get the point of the article, and video. I do want to say that I am not a cop hater. The police officers in our cities are citizens just like we are. They have families that own guns just like we do. Hating on cops is not a way to approach this situation, as police officers are not the enemy. It is very clear that watching obama, and others, bash our freedoms is causing lots of anger. I do not believe the gun haters will ever find a way to actually go into… Read more »
Them stopped being US, when they usurped their oath to the Constitution…

This article by produced by Austin Bragg for About Reason TV seems very well done and worthy of passing on or recommending but that won’t happen by me. When the commentator uses the “F” bomb he steps from the conservative side of the gun argument to the “shock radio/TV” side of the issue. As a man thinks he speaks. If a man can’t have a conversation without the need for a censor, then he has nothing to say. Get this: little men use vulgar and offensive language. Clean up your act or stop talking.
That is not how the government would go door to door to get guns. They would announce that you have child porn on your computer or would say you were wanted for tax evasion or hitting your wife. That way the neighbors with itchy trigger fingers don’t come to your aid, and they would have public support.
Well, that is one way to do it, but that is an overt approach, and easily stopped. What they’ll actually do is add more crimes to the list that prevents you from owning one now. So one day, if you jay walk (that demonstrates your hatred of government) you will lose you rights to own a gun. You may think it silly, but it continues to happen.
I think most on this page are missing the point. Read it again. “All you have to do is” the point. How many in Congress would vote for such a law? How many states would ratify such a bill? Don’t you get the point? It doesn’t seem to me the “point” has been taken in full context here. This point to which I refer to is the same thing as a screen door in a submarine. Get it? Oh, the idiotic ramblings of a few. this will be my last attempt at commenting as it won’t be posted this time… Read more »
And don’t forget about putting all the people in the gun related industries out of business. Yes , raise the unemployment rate.
All they need is one more liberal SCOTUS. They can then redefine the 2nd. The most important reason to have a true gun rights president
IF the government could confiscate all the guns of law abiding citizens – IF – remember all the other laws passed that have been so successfully enforced, such as prohibition, war on drugs, illegal immigration, gun running supported by the Eric Holder type traitors. So that means that only the cops and criminals would have guns. Wouldn’t everybody then feel a lot safer? I’m sure Bloomberg would, ditto Schumor the schmuck, and many other anti-gun politicians. Of course, their body guards would have guns and some of the anti-gun politicians would also have guns for their own protection. What a… Read more »
