North Haven, CT -(AmmoLand.com)- For 2016, Mossberg is pleased to announce 7-shot versions of our legendary 590A1 and 590 Tactical pump-action shotguns, which along with the venerable Mossberg 500, are the only pump shotguns to pass U.S. Armed Services Mil Spec 3443E Requirements.

Now five new versions of the duty-proven 590A1 and 590 feature the convenience and flexibility of seven shots in 18.5-inch barreled models which have typically been limited to a 6-shot capacity. Options in these 12-gauge, 3-inch capable tactical shotguns include Ghost Ring sights and interchangeable ACCU-CHOKE system as well as premium finishes – Parkerized, Kryptek Typhon or our proprietary, protective Marinecote finish.

Mossberg 590A1 and 590 shotguns are based upon the time-tested 500 pump-action platform with non-binding twin action bars; positive steel-to-steel lock-up; and an anti-jam elevator for smooth, reliable operation; dual extractors; anodized aluminum receiver for added durability; and universally-recognized, ambidextrous top-mounted safety. The 590A1, built to Mil Spec standards, also features a heavy-walled barrel; metal trigger guard; and metal safety button.

These higher-capacity 590A1 and 590 7-Shot Tactical pump-actions feature an 18.5-inch cylinder bore barrel, housed in durable synthetic stocks and forends. The 590A1 models have a versatile tri-rail forend with full-length bottom and twin mini-side Picatinny rails. Available models include: 590A1 Tactical (50774) with Ghost Ring sight; interchangeable ACCU-CHOKE system with cylinder choke tube provided; Parkerized metal finishes; and black synthetic stock and forend. This 590A1 Tactical (50776) model is available with front bead sight; fixed cylinder bore barrel; and same barrel and stock finishes.

The 590A1 Typhon Camo (50775) version has a Ghost Ring sight; cylinder bore barrel; and is fully camouflaged with Kryptek Typhon, a non-reflective, highly-effective concealment pattern. For the harshest of conditions, the 590A1 Marinecote (50777) features Mossberg’s own durable, all-weather finish on exposed metal; black synthetic stock and forend; bead sight and cylinder bore. One 7-shot version is available in the more-moderately priced 590 platform, the 590 Tactical 7-Shot (50778), which has a front bead sight; cylinder bore; matte blue metal and black synthetic stock finishes.

Why choose another pump-action shotgun, when it comes to defending your home or family? With the duty-proven features of the 590A1 and 590 shotguns and now the convenience of a higher capacity, the new Mossberg 590A1/590 Tactical 7-Shot pump-action shotguns are designed for any scenario.
