Wilson CombatUSA -(Ammoland.com)- Wilson Combat team members, Greg Martin, Austin Proulx, Les Kismartoni, and Mandy Bachman traveled to the Wisconsin State IDPA match on June 17th, 2017.

The match was held at Schultz Resort Rod and Gun Club in Muskego, Wisconsin. The team had a successful match and Wilson Combat is proud to announce the results.

IDPA Distinguished Master, Greg Martin, dominated the match winning the CCP Division, High Industry, and 1st place overall. Austin Proulx took home the CDP Division Champion title and finished 4th overall for the match.

Les Kismartoni placed 3rd SSP Master and 5th overall. Mandy Bachman was 2nd in the ESP division, 8th overall for the match and brought home another High Lady title.

  • Greg Martin, CQB Compact Commander chambered in 9mm:
“The match was held on a range that had small bays, so the stages were all pretty compact. I took some time before the match to look at all the stages. When doing so, I realized that two of the stages were going to most likely be high point drop stages. I knew the rest of the stages needed to be shot as accurately as possible. My plan worked out enabling me to win the CCP division and High Industry. I also had the best score of the match. I ended up dropping only 18 points for the match, 11 of those points were on the 2 stages I mentioned before. I believe that my experience and knowledge of the sport put me out in front. Having the ability to know when to tone down or punch the accelerator was key at this particular match.” – Greg
  • Austin Proulx, CQB Elite chambered in .45ACP:
“This was a challenging match with little room for error and lots of fast moving targets. I ran into some bumps along the way during the morning. Ultimately, I was able to do well during the second half of the day, and pull off a CDP Division Champion win. My CQB Elite keeps chugging along and performing extremely well, even after thousands and thousands of rounds.” – Austin
  • Les Kismartoni, Brigadier Tactical:
“After taking aseven year break from shooting IDPA, I just wanted to be comfortable with my concealment gear and the new 2017 rule changes. Even though I had a few errors, I think I was successful in shaking off the rust.” – Les
  • Mandy Bachman, CQB Elite chambered in .9mm:
“This was a very deceiving match. The stages were set up pretty tight, not a ton of movement, and not many long shots. This made it very easy to underestimate the difficulty of the stages. I typically like to go one for one on steel activators. There was one, in particular, I had to shoot from a very awkward angle and this proved challenging for me. Because of that, I plan to spend some time in my next few practices working on awkward angles from the fault lines.” – Mandy
