Firearms Policy CoalitionSACRAMENTO, Calif. -(Ammoland.com)- The California Legislature returns from their summer break on Monday, August 21, 2017 and the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) is warning Californians that their rights will once again be in jeopardy, as the fate of a number of firearms related measures is still to be determined.

“From the taking away the control of local school districts to decide who can carry firearms on their campuses to significant limits on how many firearms one can purchase in a month, there is no shortage of bills aimed at stripping Californians of their fundamental rights”, said Craig DeLuz, spokesman for FPC.

Key bills that FPC is fighting during this final month of the legislative year include:

  • SB 497 (Portantino) – Limits an individual to one firearms purchase every 30 days.
  • AB 424 (McCarty) – Deletes the authority of a school district’s authority to provide written permission for a person to possess a firearm within a school zone.
  • AB 736 (Gipson) – Authorizes the Department of Justice or local authorities to impose a civil fines on licensed firearms dealers.
  • AB 464 (Hill) – Mandates costly new security requirements on licensed firearms dealers.
  • AB 7 (Gipson) – Bans “Open Carry” in certain unincorporated areas of counties.
  • SB 536 (Pan) – Requires DOJ make data relating to gun violence restraining orders available to favored researchers affiliated with the UC Davis Center for Gun Violence Research for academic and policy research purposes.

All of these measures are in the final stages of the legislative process and are only a vote or two away from going to the desk of Governor Jerry Brown.

“Now, more than ever is the time for those who support the right to keep and bear arms to be calling their representatives and urging them to oppose these measures”, says DeLuz.

California, among other places, obviously has morons voting for morons – legal or otherwise. Look at what socialism has done for Venezuela, the cities of Chicago, Baltimore, New Orleans and many others. If it is a democrat, you can bet it is a liar, thief and socialist/communist.

Wild Bill

When they get rid of the illegal aliens that vote in Ca. elections, then Californians will get their legislature back.
