SAF Condemns Anti-gun Hypocrisy After New York City Carnage

Second Amendment FoundationBELLEVUE, WA-(Ammoland.com)- With at least eight people dead and more injured in a truck attack in New York City, the Second Amendment Foundation today condemned the hypocrisy of anti-gunners for remaining silent because the suspect did not use a firearm to create mayhem.

“When are the gun control zealots going to admit that the problem we’re facing isn’t guns, it’s violence,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “While most Americans are alarmed and saddened by Tuesday’s horrible events, the gun control crowd, including Mayor Bill de Blasio, hasn’t immediately started screaming about ‘truck violence’ or ‘truck control.’

“Only when a firearm is used do these extremists focus on the weapon,” he continued. “Nobody’s talking about banning trucks. There hasn’t been a rush to the microphones to demand background checks for people who drive pickups. But if a gun had been this madman’s weapon of choice, you would already be hearing shouts for more restrictions on the Second Amendment.”

Stop the whitewash. Stop the insanity. Jihad denial is suicidal.
Police shot the suspect and he is now in custody.

Police shot the suspect and he is now in custody. He left a trail of broken bodies in his path before law enforcement managed to take him down…with a gun, Gottlieb noted.

“Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” Gottlieb said. “And our hope is that in the midst of this madness, people can come together and understand that you cannot blame the tool. It’s the black heart of the individual who commits such a heinous act.

“Tens of millions of law-abiding Americans use firearms responsibly every day,” he observed, “and they also drive along our highways, city streets and county roads without harming a soul. Their driving privileges are never threatened when some lunatic runs over a crowd of people, but let one criminal commit a crime with a gun, and suddenly all of us are slandered.

“The problem isn’t gun violence or truck violence,” he said. “The problem is violence, and we’ve got to deal with this problem together.”

How about Colorado? Security camera’s picked up on law abiding permit holders drawing there guns when the kook started shooting. Not in Left Liberal New York City where only those who can pay the New York City Police corrupt pistol license section $6,000 to $20,000 for a permit.

Perhaps we should follow CA’s lead on requiring a a a point of sale background check everytime someone
Purchases ammo. Let’s apply that to gasoline which is the “ammo” for truck weapons of death! Also how about also requiring a special govt issued gasoline purchaser ID!!?? Same as for a gun and now ammo.
Nobody even charged with domestic violence or who has a prior felony conviction may be in possession of a motor vehicle death machine or its ammo…..gasoline.
Liberal logic applied reductio ad absurdum

It’s social engineering. These people are technocrats (a form of fascism, scientific dictatorship). Notice that the “terrorists” started using trucks as weapons at roughly the same time the push for driverless vehicles hit the corporate/government level? I’m aware that this sounds paranoid. I would have thought it paranoid myself not too long ago. That was before I read the book “The Plutonium Files”, then started studying Operation Paperclip, and MK Ultra, and followed the rabbit hole to a veritable file cabinet full of incidents (well over 200 in the last centruy, just the tip of the iceberg) in which various… Read more »

My mistake. They are NOT censoring comments even from those of us with a conspiratorial bent (like me) so good on you folks at Ammoland. I apologize.

Obviously, Mr. Gottlieb can’t go there without opening himself up to ‘conspiracy theory’ attacks, but I can; we sell the world’s most powerful non-nuclear explosive at every gas station in the country, and all that’s needed for chemical weapons at every hardware store and pool supply. You can now buy complete kits to engineer your very own bacteria and viruses online for a couple hundred bucks. No license or background check needed. A reasonable person, listening to the rhetoric from both government and the media, would expect to find a jihadist or white supremacist terrorist behind every lamp post. The… Read more »

Sir, what is your science and chemistry background? Surely you jest!

I’ll assume that wasn’t sarcasm just for the sake of argument. I made it through college chemistry without much difficulty. Tinkering with the world around me has become something of a hobby. I guess you’d call me a member of the Maker movement. I collect old science texts, especially chemistry, because they’re often filled with little gems, processes and methods that have been forgotten or replaced by newer industrial processes, but low tech enough to be within the capabilities and budget of the home experimenter. The Presence (or lack) of a degree is not a reason to take any statement… Read more »

Good article. We must keep continuous pressure on the left hypocrites who hate the 2nd. Amendment and those of us who observe it, and those of us they hate by fighting to get our 2nd. Amendment rights back.

The fish faced governor also immediately went on an anti-gun rant, following the Rahm Emanuel strategy of “never letting a good tragedy go to waste.” Then, after attacking the firearms that weren’t used in the attack, they went after Donald Trump for politicizing the event by bringing up the diversity lottery visas, which did bring this violent jihadist to our country. These vile leftist liars sure have studied the crap out of Saul Alinsky.
