NRA Applauds Senate Confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court

Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- The National Rifle Association today applauded the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve as an associate justice on the United States Supreme Court.

“On behalf of our nearly six million members, the NRA congratulates Brett Kavanaugh on his confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director, National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA). “Kavanaugh is an eminently qualified jurist who will interpret the Constitution as the framers intended. He respects our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self-defense.”

In the 2016 elections, voters made clear that the Supreme Court was an issue of critical importance.  Today, President Donald Trump has once again delivered on his promise of appointing constitutionally sound justices to our nation’s highest court.

“The NRA would like to thank President Trump for fulfilling his campaign promise to nominate pro-Second Amendment justices to the Supreme Court. The selections of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh demonstrate President Trump’s unwavering support for our fundamental right to self-defense,” Cox continued.
The U.S. Senate confirmed Kavanaugh by a 50 to 48 vote. The NRA applauds all senators who voted in favor of Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation and would especially like to thank Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) for their leadership in this effort.

This is a great victory but the damage done to the character of a great man is unforgivable! I certainly hope Lindsey keeps the pressure on and makes sure the investigation turns up what it should and that is at least Feinstein and probably Slimey Schumer should be outed from our Senate! Actually All the Demoncrats on that committee should be brought to some kind of censor in the very least!

The NRA has also supported the 1993 Brady Bill, The 1986 “Firearm Owners Protection Act” (gag), the 1994 “assault weapons ban”, and the bump stock ban. If the NRA likes it that doesn’t automatically mean it’s a good thing.

@Pawl, you made a slight error. Every U.S. Citizen is a True Citizen. But only about half of us are PATRIOTIC Citizens, in the true sense of the word. And I do agree with the rest of what you said. I am sitting here watching the President get into the “beast” in Orlando. At this time in our national history, I honestly think, warts and all, he is the best person for the job he has. He had already done more than I ever expected him to do, and now with Justice Kavanaugh on The Bench, our future seems even… Read more »

eaglesnester I didn’t know there could be that many rotten apples in one basket, but you named most of them, then you have the lost Demo-Rats that vote on party lines!!!!!!!!!!

Ronald Nuxon

I wholeheartedly concur. McConnel, Grassley and Graham were outstanding in getting this vital appointment over the hump.

We dodged a bullet boys and girls, but only just barely. The Union still hangs by a thread and the likes of George Sorors can still destroy it unless we all remain vigilant. Those that attempted to destroy the United States must be brought to trial. We came close very close and it ain’t over it. The left will do anything, say anything, to get power over the people, they are clearly enemies of the people. Elected officials like Adam Schiff, Diane Feinstein, Maxine Watters, Eric Holder, Obama, Loretta Lynch, David Corzine, Chuck Schumer are all bad apples and desperately… Read more »

Could not agree with you more @eaglesnester.

@ eaglenester in addition to what you have said if the DOJ would have gotten on the stick and taken some of these crooks to task I think it would make a big difference in the upcoming election, which we need to win. If they would publish a list of the ones that used the hush money account to get out of sexual trouble that would help, also.

Lets hope SCOTUS will start hearing anti 2nd amendment legislation that states such as Hawaii, N.J. and the peoples republic of kookafornia have passed. For far too long SCOTUS has been deferring its responsibility and decisions on controversial law to the left wing states. Lets Hope that Judge Kavanaugh will stop that RIGHT NOW and lay down the law as written in the Constitution of the United States, and render the creeping progressive cancer that has infected the Union moot.

This was a great victory for true American Citizens . This was one of the cheapest tactics from the Democratic Party that I have ever witnessed . I would not be surprised, though, if they would try and impeach Kavanaugh for lying under oath as their next move. I think Senator Feinstein should be impeached for obstructing the investigation . She was not concerned with Dr. Ford in the least . The senator found someone that was foolish enough to make a spectacle of herself and hoped to gain a fortune with tabloid money and show appearances . I do… Read more »

@Pawl 71, True, true. But it was not cheap, it cost George Soros a ton of money to feed, quarter, and transport all those people to Washington, DC. Now, Soros and the democratic national socialists have targeted Ted Cruz.
Defeating Cruz would be a huge moral booster and add legitimacy to the democrat party effort to make America socialist.
I am hoping that all American patriots will go vote in November. We have so much to lose.

tomcat

@ Wild Bill, it would be a shame if Ted Cruz lost to the socialist idiot. Cruz is a Constitutional scholar and he has done a good job for texas. I hope all conservative Texans turn out to vote, Cruz deserves it.

Now I hope Kavanaugh upholds the Constitution instead of being a moderate.
